I've been reading about how people are complaining that "t-bagging" is very offensive and how some females are claiming that it is sexual harassment.
No.
You are 100% wrong to think that it is sexual harassment. And you honestly embarrass yourself for thinking so.
Where have you been for the past 15 years? T-bagging is nothing new at all and has been a part of Bungie and the gaming community as a whole for quite a long time.
Like c'mon, Bungie has an avatar on the forums of a spartan t-bagging a dead spartan.
Seriously though people? A virtual character's groin came in contact with your virtual character and you feel that you've been violated?
LOOOOOOOL
Now that you've read that I'm sure you can tell how absolutely stupid and pathetic that sounds. R-A-P-E and physically touching someone in real life can be considered sexual harassment. T-bagging in a video game is not.
And to give a comparison, if t-bagging is considered sexual harassment, then killing someone in the crucible would be second-degree murder, or meleeing someone can be considered assault.
Same exact logic.
However, such things as purposely sending sexual/obscene messages can arguably be taken as sexual harassment. So don't get confused there.
Hate to break your bubble you high and mighty morons.

1 ReplySome female gamers should not touch a controller or be close to a console DON'T GET ME WRONG, I Love Girl Gamers But some just... You know... Like what the -blam!-?? You know... I mean some are racially rude, some are obnoxious and... Well you know where I am getting at... I'm happy and lucky to have gal pals who love the game and know what they are doing But yeah.... Some that I have joined where... Well had a few loose screws lol.... Don't get me wrong at all though, I love girl gamers, an I'm glad to see that a game like Destiny attracts both genders to the game But sexual harassment for tea bagging? WTF to that... I can understand vocal sexual harassment... But tea bagging? Come on... Lol

I have examples of what the real issue is, from kicking the offender's tail out of the window the second it was done. My friend's 9 year old has a lot of that in voice, telling her "I'm coming over to your house and -blam!- you!" as the most recent.

In an older cod you get a challenge completion call humiliation for t-bagging. It's just a way to taunt your opponents.
-
Edited by Sigurd Fatima: 11/15/2014 3:29:05 PMWouldn't even matter in reality because, in this example, you'd be dead anyways making them a necrophiliac? P.S. and really how weird would that be? Oh I killed this guy so I'm going to squat on his face....weeeiiirrd lol

Wow. Haha. It's interesting seeing how people interpret stuff.. I've never once felt sexually violated cause my onscreen character got t-bagged by another virtual character. O.o Seems there is a community of girls on here who assume any kind of interaction from a male on here means they're trying to hit on them in some form. I don't doubt a minority are like that, but believe it or not, generally the Destiny users are just gamers trying to have fun and all trying to accomplish the same thing. - Yeah, hard to believe judging by the forum community sometimes, but the people I've met in game have 99% of the time been a pleasure to meet and have had good banter.
-
I've noticed a lot of folks claiming t-bagging is immature and childish? T-bagging makes me feel good about my accomplishments in the game and you want to take that away from me? It's my culture to give myself as much gratification as I can. You don't want to take away my great feelings from me, do you? Being that it's my culture that can't be wrong, can it? There should be more ways to humiliate in this game so these "sensitives" will go away. Games are for children regardless of age it's the mentality. You want a nice mature game to play go play chess and get over yourself.

Edited by Elarineth: 11/15/2014 2:58:11 PMUnless everyone is gay it's not sexual harassment. Woman that act like idiots are the reason all female gamers get shit talked.

Feminism is dumb. Equalism is where its at.

1 ReplyI prefer to sugar coat the name Tea Bagging, with Victory Crouch

26 RepliesEdited by Horizon2807: 11/15/2014 10:08:08 AMWould you like your 12 years old daughter to receive sexual harassment messages while playing her favorite game, for example destiny, just because she had "lady" or "girl" in her username? Would you seriously have her to read that shit written by people that might have her age twice? I wouldn't,I bet you wouldn't enjoy her to ask you "dad, what does this message mean? Why do people call me this way?" If you wouldn't like it,you can shut the -blam!- up right now If you would like it,I hope you'll never be a father because you'd be the worst a girl could ever get (Yes,I saw people sending that shit after t-bagging,because that's just what they start with).
-
There is no way teabagging could be sexual harassment, considering the only ones who do it are children with zero aspirations of sexual contact.
-
Did you not see 80% of said posts also added harassing messages to the list? Putting that at the end sends the wrong message itself.
That was the important part.
-
I don't find tbaggers funny nor do i find them annoying. I honestly just think the action is stupid. I'll admit if i do something i think is awesome or if i see someone try to be awesome and fail, I'll tbag em just so they know thete place. But in general, if our encounter ends in your death, then i just move on.
-
I'm with you. I think it's hilarious. Would I condone it IRL? No. But considering that these pixel-people don't even actually HAVE balls, it's just funny. And silly.
-
You like dragons? Because ima be DRAGON my balls across your head.
get it? I can make T-Bagging jokes too.
2 RepliesWho? Where are these people saying these things, I'm always on this forum and never see people saying stuff like this

personally i love being bagged in the face it just shows how many bags of tea im gonna be dipping in your mouth when i kill you next so 1 bag of tea=2 bags of tea from me...... but 2 or more bags of tea in my mouth ohh well you sir you will be dipped so hard i will probably knock out your teeth with the amount of bags you will get to you mouth. :P

Edited by Lord__Nazul: 11/15/2014 2:20:44 PMI have given out more tea bags then Lipton has made. With that said I mostly T-bag NCP's or friend when I revive/kill them. NCP's can't report you for griefing and friends will laugh. I don't know how long t-bagging has been around, but I remember it from way back on Halo CE.

1 ReplyYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
-
2 RepliesMy in game character is a female. I get messages from randoms all the time telling me how fat I must be because I own them all in crucible.

Technically sexual harassment is an unwanted advance be it physical or verbal, it can also be something like a picture or screen saver. Depending on how much the woman in question hates you the stupidest little thing can land you hot water real quick. That being said .... this is a video game we're talking about. Sex and violence go hand in hand whenever shooting or killing is involved, it may not always be spelled out or shown in cut scenes but we all know it's there. In PvP tea bagging is more or less insult on top of injury. It's not being done because you're a woman, your gender has nothing to do with it. People don't know you're gender until they hear your voice or if they know you in person. Now if someone knows you're female, does said thing specifically to harass you, your argument is valid. No I don't support it but I'm commenting logically.
