When I first came to Bungie, posting to this forum about other games was forbidden! It was important to me that gamers had the freedom to express themselves sincerely. I play lots of games. I love Bungie games, but more than one disc spins in my tray. This board was always intended for those conversations.
Sorry that the release of Destiny threw this corner of the forum into disarray. I am thrilled that people are using our site to make friends and play games, but there should be a specific place for that. Yesterday, we built that place. Please link people to there is they come here to look for allies.
Sound off and tell me if the new forum structure is helping.
Thank you.
DeeJ

Will do hope this revives #Gaming so we can all talk about Halo MCC when the servers are finally fixed.
-
Eh, you're still a Pegboy.
-
It's a breath of fresh air DeeJ. Thank you.
-
Could we split up clan recruiting and vog recruitment? That would be useful to just get a specific thread for each so we don't have to wade through both.

Edited by CrunchyBoi23 x13: 11/15/2014 6:21:49 AMIt's be great if you could post a "No Destiny Here" thread and have it pinned at the top of #Gaming.
-
Edited by Big Slappy: 11/15/2014 6:31:49 AMIt is helping, but the battle drags on and our men need rest. I'm gonna be honest. If the forum descriptions weren't so vague we wouldn't have this problem.
-
You could've just changed the name of this forum, then create a new #gaming
-
Appearently they are still confused with the new logo under #gaming. Saying it still means they can post destiny in here :/
-
I'm surprised you actually noticed Deej. It seemed as though Bungie saw fit to let their forums spiral into entropy for all eternity.

Hey DeeJ, Here's my opinion, I think most of us "Destiny" folks gumming up the forums are coming through the "Destiny" app. I for one thought that the forums were just for "Destiny" folks not all of Bungie gamers and I would post and read freely through all of the sections. I did open a "Destiny" app not an Bungie app. Then I started seeing all of the responses about "Desticles" gumming up "our" forums and so I stopped posting to those areas. I don't have problem following rules but my thought was I accessed the forums through the "destiny" app it must be in someway related to "destiny". Thanks for breaking the forum up and making it easier for us matchmaking requests. Thank you for all of your hard work communicating all of the changes to us. On a side note....when is the Thorn buff coming :)
-
Deej, finally thank you so much I only hope this helps. I have new respect for you.
-
It actually works. Nice.
-
The best way to stop people from posting in all the threads is to make the raid have matchmaking. Until then, the raid posts will never stop. It's that simple.
-
People are still posting destiny in #gaming
-
Just getting the last of the legitimate players to their new forum, the trolls won't be out for a few more weeks, but we are taking gaming back! Just post threads about games, bury the old recruiting threads, and just remind others that #recruitment exists.
-
Too early to tell, situation still FUBAR, I agree problem is related to nature of destiny app. Kids don't realize they're signing onto a site that may not have everything to do with Destiny. Some time of mass notification may be in order.
-
You did it guys, you did it.
-
Its helping this section. The destiny users still dont understand the proper use of the forums tho and the VoG threads are now ruining #recruitment. Please referrence my pm to you for details on how id fix it.

I can't believe im saying this but we should have waypoint forum rules and ban everyone for a day for posting in the wrong forum if people keep posting raid posts here.
-
Bump the pegboi!
-
i gotta be honest! i hate the new layout! the old one was much more user friendly! this new layout is just a mess! just my opinion

Mo' betta

It's looking slightly better, but I think there should be a seniority system to cut down on the spam. Say for example....100 posts in order to post in offtopic, community, gaming, and the bungie forum.
-
It's helping a little. I can clearly see non Destiny-related threads now, but the Destiny partner-finder threads are still extremely prevalent.
