Just went to buy last word as It is the one gun I have wanted in the entire game and I realise I only have 18 strange coins.
Why oh why have I not played for a few weeks everyday, just to build my coins. I am gutted. Anyone know how to get 5 strange coins by tomorrow?

Make a second character. The same class as your original. Grind out all of the story missions in order on normal mode (dont do strikes, not worth the time). Do all of the bounties you receive (these bountys/bounty leads are separate from your daily biubties) because they will coincide with what you are doing in the story missions. You will be 20 by the time you beat the last mission. Then, put your gear from your main character into your vault, get on second character and equip that gear and youll instantly go from 20 to whatever level your gear gives you. Then do the heroic again for 9 coins. It will probably take you 6 straight hours to level up to 20 if you take it seriously and dont die. It should be easy to not die since you already know how the enemies behave and the best ways to take them out. Pro tip: you wont have to wait until level 15 to switch subclasses on your 2nd character. You can easily have your last word by this time tomorrow. Itll be more fun than spamming strikes for 5 coins. And youll be gaurenteed to get the 9 coins my way if you sinply put in the time.

Uh I want to make a second character but don't wanna put all that effort in to have another hunter, it just seems so redundant, I wanna nova bomb the shit out of stuff if I'm gonna create a second character. Thanks for the suggestion, I may do what you said, will see how long I can play for tomorrow. God I hope I get the coins, or at least get another chance to buy it in a week or two.

Edited by Tek010: 11/15/2014 1:14:53 AMIts either farm 20 levels on a new hunter for a gaurenteed 9 coins or farm strikes for 2 days for a *chance* at ~5 coins. Id farm the 20 levels because from then on out, you could double your weekly gains from having 2 high level hunters. Twice the weekly nightfall rewards, twice the raid rewards, twice the weekly heroic coins... Think of it not as just a way to gaurentee that you get the last word before xur keaves, but also as a significant investment for as long as you play this game. At the end of the day, thats just my advice. I cant telly you how to live your life.

Yea, I did. I've basically not played apart from the weekly, nightfall and raid plus checking xur each week for about 3 weeks. So this is my fault but still, I am so gutted

do the weekly heroic on medium for 6 coins or hardest for 9 or weekly nightfall might give 10+

Keep farming tiger strikes for engrams, make sure to kill everything for increased drop rate.

Did you do the weekly? If not, do it. If you did, farm Vanguard Tiger, it gives at least 2-4 rare engrams a game.

Yea done weekly and nightfall and today's daily, just been doing tyger for a while got shit all so far, I don't think I'm gonna get enough in time, unless I get really lucky with tomorrow's daily
