Any reason to keep duplicate weapons?
I get that it saves you from having to swap between characters, but the energy to level them, and the fact that i am still swapping my other weapons between characters, makes it seem not worth it to me.
Im wondering if it may be worth it to hold onto multiple exotics and raid weapons if trading ever comes into play. Also there is something about rerolling perks coming up in the new update.
So what collections do you have.
I have
2x shadow price "norm perks"
2x atheons epilogue
2x Voc
I've had some other leg dupes like bad seed down, and strange suspect, but just dismantled those.

Not all weapons have the same perks or elemental damage. I hang on to duplicates until I need room, then make the choice of which to keep. Perks on weapons and stars on gear determine what I keep

I will keep duplicate versions of raid weapons and exotics for alts, but otherwise I will dismantle if faction legendaries dont have different perks.

I keep them to make switching characters easier. No need to go to the vault if both of my titans already have the same stuff in the inventory. Second set of raid gear is almost fully upgraded, so I won't have to go to the vault at all soon.

Takes too long to switch characters. I have duplicates of all the raid weapons I use on each character just to make changing characters that much quicker. It would be nice to have an easier way to get to the vault when in game or in orbit.

1 Replynot for me...i have 24 weapons maxed ..i dont have room for anymore...i already gotta keep my lesser used weapons on one of my characters anyways as my vault can hold only 20. I have every weapon that is desired other than the raid fusion...once i get it i dont know what im gonna do with the 150+ energies i already have

I just throw them in Vault #2 and forget about it for a little bit. I use Vault #3 for stuff that might be trashed soon.

2 RepliesI keep a second voc in the vault just in case I accidentally dismantle my current one. I'll do the same if I get a duplicate fatebringer. Any gun I really love and get it to drop again, I'll hang stash it just to be safe, lol

If you get weapons from engrams and drops they can have different ability rolls on them making it worth keeping. For example I have a full auto comedian and a stock one anyone can buy. I'd never break down that full auto roll one.

only keep your exotic doubles for the expansion because i believe their to be weapon and armor cores for breaking down exotics later so save them that is all.

Only reason is to avoid transferring. I get rid of duplicates because I hate farming for materials.

Yes. I try to have multiple copies of every usefull legendary/exotics weapons witrh different elemental damage types. if you are like me and have three characters, its annoying to constantly switch around weapons.

Only reason to keep duplicates is to not have to transfer weapons between characters. So if you can have favorable load outs with each character without trading ANY guns, then it's worth it. But if you have to trade even one gun to your other characters, then you might as well trade them all and not worry about the hassle of leveling up multiples.

2 RepliesI personally prefer just transferring weapons through the vault so I can spend the energy on other weapons to max out more. But that is just me.

1 ReplyEdited by Doc SoCal: 11/14/2014 5:22:33 PMEh, there is no shortage of AEs and UMs in this game. I like each character to have a full load out. If that means leveling up 3 epitaphs, so be it. I am in no hurry. Now dupes I don't use, they get dismantled. Nothing I have now will be the last time I see it.
