Yeah well, I got it when I joined a random tiger strike, spawned in when two other people was just about to finish of Nexus. I was probably in that game for under 30 seconds, and I got the best handcannon ingame. Still think I earned it?

#sarcams, or do you really think that spending 30 seconds, not killing a single thing is as much "earned" as doing weekly/nightfall, doing shitloads of strikes getting shitloads of engrams that maybe, MAYBE, turns out to give you one strange coin?

haha, i think the point is whether you spend 30 seconds or 30 hours bashing a nightfall, you're earning in the sense you're hoping for an rng drop. Xur changes that. If i'd just got TLW for completed VOG and then Xur sold it, i'd be disappointed to say the least.

And I of course agree completely with you, just sick of the whole discussion about earning, since both methods will eventually give you exotics.

yeh for sure. Xur is good because at least you can get yourself an exotic if you haven't had much RNG luck. I've been pretty lucky with drops (Hawkmoon, MonteCarlo, and a couple of raid weapons) but i still make sure i've got coins on the chance Xur is selling something sweet, like TLW :D Can't believe I missed out on Red Death tho. Idiot!!!
