Alpha Lupi Mystery
I remember this from at least a year ago, when people were trying to figure out something to do with Alpha Lupi, but I don't remember seeing someone solve it. This seems to be something that many people have to participate in at once. I'm not sure but I think it relates to the traveler and the "Dreams of Alpha Lupi" grimoire cards. Who knows anything about this?
*Edit: At the moment I'm working on putting together all of the information I can find relating to Alpha Lupi. This seems very similar to that mystery user that appeared before the release of Halo 3(?). *Edit 2: I can't really find any leads to follow. It seems like this was a sort of pre-release easter egg, seeing that the rewards from "Array Success" are music, a wallpaper and poems about the planets. The poems are the same as in each planet's "Ghost Fragment: [Planet]" grimoire card. On the page it does say "Records will be kept and bring future reward./ Alert all those who made this possible." I'm wondering if that had to do with the codes we could enter on bungie.net? Maybe there isn't much to find here.

1 ReplyI am extremely interested to know more about this website. Knowing Bungie and experiencing their creativity in easter eggs, there is likely to be something here. If you open the successful completion page for the puzzle (http://alphalupi.bungie.net/ArraySuccessResult.html) And look under the archived content, there is an interesting assortment of image and text files for interpretation. Opening the .readme in this archive raises further questions for me. . . The images for each puzzle day, and for each "planet" on the final map have a corresponding planet in game, Mars, Jupiter, Moon etc. Why? Also another very interesting piece is the puzzlemask.bmp files. Maybe these are something to do with computing (if someone has knowledge of this please let me know as I am not an expert in that field), but to me these images seem rather complex and unique to be any kind of coding or for any web based coding. Researching the Alpha Lupi star reveals the Lupi constellation. This constellation consists of many stars with Alpha Lupi being the brightest and Beta-Lupi the second, a blue dwarf. I thought of mapping the constellation with the map of the final image but couldn't find any type of link between the two. The poems if you will for each day/planet are also very interesting. Are the puzzles linked to a particular planet? Honestly I realize that all this sounds insane, and for the most part I would agree; but for those of you who know how much it really took to break through the Halo/Bungie easter egg data and mystery you will hopefully take interest in this as well. Who knows? maybe these are the clues and answers we need to break the vault of glass (and maybe all future raids!?) . . . Please don't troll this post as we have enough of that. I hope that the true Bungie enthusiasts and detectives will be inspired by this and post to help. Happy hunting Guardians!

Our sky is filled with unseen signals. Radio-frequency emissions pulse and flit and dance all around us. Yet even a singing patch of sky can be observed, and transformed into a range of frequencies. Can you hear it? No, not yet. It has not yet arrived. But together we can receive its call. Imagine combining the observations of thousands across the globe on an object meandering through the heavens. The resulting array would be quite large. Quite powerful. This is your task. Alone it will not be enough. Coordination and timing is needed. Observations must be made simultaneously. Your window will be small. Five minutes at most. But windows may be reopened. And the distance between observer pairs will be key. There will always be limitations in clarity, so the results must be archived for study. Highly technical observers may be required. Detailed frequency analysis is recommended. Everything that belongs to us will be ours, but only if we create the capacity to receive it. Think not of locations, but the spacings between, as seen from each target. While one hemisphere provides a strong center, the other must heed the call in order to bring light to the unknown. Thats what came up for me...

If we consider this: Monday---- day 1 Tuesday---- day 2 Wednesday---- day 3 Thursday----- day 4 Friday------ day 5 Saturday----- day 6 Sunday------ day 7 The whole pattern matches with the numbers at the websites and the number of Alpha Lupi's website links. What happend if day by day (starting from monday) you enter to these links and complete the puzzle? Does this change something?

Didn't know this existed. Strange, but I think it's an old competition. But it does seem to infer that something happens on one of the planets daily, that you must figure out where. And not a Public Event - Perhaps it not even the random battles you sometimes see enemies spawning to fight each other on mass, but a secret chest or something - maybe even another character..

I believe that the words in the celestial map describe you as the traveler. It speaks about "raising an army" and "giving them your last commands" as well as teraforming.
