What is with the 30 elitism?
I run the raid over and over on 3 characters on each, Yet I am still to get the raid drops I need to make one lv30
I do not understand why a level 30 thinks they are a better player, they were just luckier than others. Whenever I run the raid with 30's they die more than me and are arrogant to say the least.
Being 30 doesn't mean you are better, give the guys that don't get lucky with the RnG a chance, there are many like me that would be an asset to most fire teams.

It is the person, not the rank. There are 30's that got lucky but aren't very good and 29's that are good but have been unlucky. The "elitist" 30's had the same attitude when they were 29.

I just got to 30 and I was very happy. I just don't want to be squishy in the raid and be at the level cap till it gets raised. I blame my OCD on the level cap part.

You don't even have to be level 30 just have full raid gear if you want to boss people around in the raid. It works

Plainly put in the hard mode raid level 30 players are more useful. They can effectively carry the relic, do more damage, take less damage, etc. Level 29s have to be exceptionally better than a 30 to be more useful and 9 out if 10 times its not the case. Thats why when you look on the forums for a hm raid 90% of them ask for 30s. Dont get mad about it.

3 RepliesI could care less what level people are as long as they know what they are doing in the raid. I tried to do the Raid a few times with randoms and It was the worst thing I could have possible done. It gets really frustrating when people have no clue what to do, or die constantly.My suggestion is to watch videos and read up before you think you can just jump into a raid. My clan and I studied before we went in, and everyone that wanted to raid had to know what to expect. This is why matchmaking for the Raid will never work and it would be garbage.

i agree but you must also note that alot of people try to go into the raids not knowing what their doing and expect to rely on other players usually 30's to do all the work. The amount of times i was invited to do a hard raid with a group of 29's/30's that asked me to help them through the raid and then refused to listen to instruction on tactics needed to get through HM or simply did random stupid stuff like jumping in the detainment field even after i told them that they would die if they did. Yes the game has RNG but alot of the thirty have put in the time to learn the tactics necessary to succeed on hard and you have to give them credit for that. Furthermore they dont want to bother with people who refuse to listen. With that being said i have walked many new groups of 29's and 30's through the raid and many of my friends do as well.

It's the same bull people pulled in Halo 3 because they were 50s. They let it go to their head and instantly assume they are above every other player, aside from their fellow 50s. Kinda funny actually. Especially when they lost to me (sitting comfortably at 13 or so) in a one on one match. Mostly, I think their lack of skill (assuming they had any to begin with) is caused by this superiority complex. They believe themselves godlike, and spend their time gloating about it (or farming. The filthy cretins.), rather than refining their skills and techniques like all the decent 30s and non-30s do.

Its not that thirties are more skilled. But they can take more and also deal more. Makes the raid super easy. I think six thirties for atheon is overkill. And a lot of thirties can be jerks. But i understand why. You get tired of going group to group finding out people dont know what to do. Then get in a all thirty group and finish atheon on first portal run.

2 RepliesDid hard mode last night on my 30 titan and a guy in the Fireteam brought a 28 in. Yes I was skeptical because 40-50% damage reduction is a lot. After we beat confluxes I literally told the guy he was a badass after outlasting the 29s we had.

I completely agree with you I delete multiple characters every week just to get my raid gear I have played the raid over 40 times. I have a friend who thinks he's better than me since he got the raid gear in 2 weeks. When I get my raid gear at least I can say I actually earned it

3 RepliesI don't care if you're not level 30, but don't come into a hard raid without an oracle killing gun or a gun you are leveling up (at any level). Thats probably the main reason why you are not allowed to raid. Its hard mode, you're going to need a maxed raid primary. And if you don't have a raid primary, that just means you have not done the raid enough to attempt it on hard or are just plain stupid. There should be no reason why the relic carrier needs to drop the relic and shoot oracles, but I can't tell you how many times I've had to do that.

They think they're hot shit because most of them were bad at the raid, got lucky with drops and then became 30. And since peple try to do hard mode and 30s have it easy in hard; they think they're the shit But it all falls apart when you see how shitty a 30 really is on hard "wtf I don't remember this bubble" when they get put in detain bubble "Hey guys. Kill the oracles , wtf guys. Oh you can't see? I forgot i had to cleanse you" his excuse because he doesn't know how to clense and at that point it's a wipe My favorite "Omg wtf I didn't go through the portal! It glitched what the hell. Omg omg. I'm stuck in venus/mars/past/future" if he did run the raid multiple times legit w/o being carried, he'd know this is a common glitch and woulda just walked though again w/o Bitching There's more but I'm taking a duce right now. 1 Reply15 raid completions. 1 atheon push. 0 raid gear on any of the 3 characters I raid with. I like to take new guys through the raid, since I am a clan founder it's kind of an obligation to the clan mates. Iv seen a new guy get 3 raid pieces his first go. Countless others that iv helped through the raid are now closer to 30 than I and one of the guys in my core raid team rolled a fresh titan... First run on normal got chest, gauntlets and greaves.. He's now 30 with 2 runs on the titan. I keep chugging along but it's slowly bringing me down. I'm having a hard time with the fun aspect anymore and I'm fairly easy to please. Luckily I have a good fireteam that still knows I'm an exceptional player even if they have all surpassed me in level.

Level 30s just have better defenses within the hard raid. It has nothing to do with skill, but being a team of level 30s makes the raid a cakewalk

30 is just a number. Unfortunately that number comes with damage bonuses, especially in a hard raid. Is rather have a 29 with maxed guns than a 30 with weak guns.

2 RepliesThey are not immune. Those same 30s have lower level alts and are aware of the retarded handicap being a 29 means. Had four 30s hard mode atheon and we didnt get the win. Sad really, we couldnt push him off the edge so the 30s were out of their element. When im the last alive as a 29 and the other 29 doesnt fire his gjallahorn at the minitaur on Venus.....yea. ppl can be pretty retarded.

I played hard with 4 other 30s and they sucked hard took over 10 attempts to beat atheon, whereas before that beat him within 3 with 29s mostly.

And thus is why I like my clan. Even the high levels run with the lower guys to help them get what they need.
