[/quote] Along with the majority of people on here, I would love to work at bungie. Not just because one day it will rule the world and you get pastry-delights, but because it would so cool to see your dreams come to fruitition. I'm currently in college taking computing and my tutor is great, well.. he knows a lot of stuff, even if half of it is probably a lie, like his claim that if he stopped being a teacher and worked on his own company more then he'd be a multi-millionaire by the end of the year. Okay, so far so good right? I'm into computing with a great teacher, it's just my own unbelievably misapprehension of the work that gets me. Somehow I manage to fail continuously. Ironically, my other subjects are Electronics and then my best subject is my English Language, and I love creative writing and just making up stories that'll lead the readers mind of a path of dauntingly insane situations. I mean, what would you do if the sun exploded right now ? BBQ? I know I would... So here's my dilemna (I think) I need a job by the end of college, I already have one, ironically I sell pastry-delights at my local stadium, and they are goooooood. Anyway.. I need a job this summer and then generally for the rest of time. I'm not so good at the whole computing aspect of things, I even tried to get to grips with using Maya, as I saw that pretty much all of your jobs required it. I've only messed about with it for the last 2 hours now, but it's pretty obvious that it takes alot longer than that to be able to have a good handle on the software, unless you've tried something similar before. On the other hand, I like creative writing and I want to be able to write something and see it come to fruitition. I know you'd probably have advertised the job position online for a writer, but I need to be an apprentice to something, because at the moment, my quiet little town just doesn't offer anything much in the way of jobs, other than selling food and other bits and bobs. I just don't think that retail is for me. I wrote some beginnings to stories and ideas on a networking website, purely because it had an author's section to it. I get the feeling this is going to be unlikely, but if you want to read them contact my Bnet account (above) or gamertag (shifty373) I guess living in the UK doesn't help either, right ? Anyway, I hope I hear from anyone who reads this because there's nothing wrong in trying. Unless it's for recon.

For those of you who don't get what I'm talking about, some slight improvements that could be made to forge are: * Forge "glue" * 5 Degree rotation possibility on the D-pad * Ability to lock objects, so that if you are trying to place them somewhere and they hit another object they don't get out of control right away but instead they stay in the same position until you "unlock" it again. * Many more building materials in ALL levels Those are just some improvements that are definitely needed to make forge alot more enjoyable and it will for sure create much better maps than what we've seen so far. Besides the basic improvements I can also come up with some more "heave improvements" which I'm not sure of whether they are actually possible to create but it would be cool if something of this could be incorparated into forge. * A terrain tool * Color pallete for objects and environment * Ability to change weather or time of day * Bots * An "undo" and "delete all" button * Unused vehicles (passenger Hog, AA Wraith etc.) * Standardized builing supplies for all levels (you can use all the same stuff on all the maps) As you can see there's alot of things that can be improved concerning the current forge, some of them are probably impossible to create but I'm sure that the basic ones on top should be able to make it into forge. There's been polls concerning this, and some posts even asks people how much they would be willing to pay for all these improvements if it were to be some sort of DLC. I personally agree that these improvements should already have been there since Halo 3's release and therefore if they are coming in any kind of DLC they should be free, but IF we would have to pay for them I, and many more others, are willing to pay up to TWO COMPLETE map packs (1600 Microsoft Points), just to indicate our concerns about Forge. I hope you get my points Bungie, improve/REPAIR forge first before you invest in it by creating new items that are gonna have the same complications when we go into forge again... [/quote] well the new stuff is pretty awesome, but i do agree that the transport warthog MUST be on avalanche, imagine infection with 5 guys firing madly at the zombies yeah i know, spartans/elites don't fit into the goddamn thing but why not change it slightly you changed the skins of the vehicles, and created new forge objects, so why not alter the transhog too i know it's useless for matchmaking, but the awesomeness for infection would just be huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugetacular

Shishka, you and Frankie are going to end up tearing the comapny into a Civil War using the Halo movie props as real weapons. I wonder who Lukems will side with? Hmmm.... The camera editing will be very interesting during the actual match, because if you can now hinder the players' sight in a particular area, or wanted to set a certain mood (i.e. black and white for drama at the map's center). The only thing that could possibly be better is the ability to spawn AI Grunts, Brutes, Marines, Spartans, etc.

  • Ahah! So thats why some of the Avalanche shots from the trailer looked... well, "Gloomy." I foresee a [i]lot[/i] of maps using that one! Really sweet new objects as well, I was just thinking about the Light Bridges (aka, solid sheild doors) and how useful they would be. Now, please tell me they are scale-able as well?   • OKAY! So what else does ol' tank z have to save about the update and other things? Here's your chance to read away the lost blogin that would normally end up in Lukes mailbox! WARNING MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF NUTZ... ERM, SPOILERS! First off, guy who is -blam!-ing about Forge, get a grip. Yeah, I want more stuff for Forge and I'd like it to be easier and less time constraining, but to give up on your creation simply because of having a hard time putting things together is your own loss. Everyone knows, even if you didn't really feel like it, you could take 1 hour a night and still be able to create a map within a week. Honestly, it takes me a good 4 - 9 hours to complete my maps, and some of them aren't even completed! I need more tweaks, etc. But the fact of the matter is, Forge is not impossible. Further more, seeing the new things that are coming to Forge with the map pack easily gives me a firm optimism that it is going to be WAY easier in the future for you to navigate Forge and add more to maps. Also, auto-updates are now being done in small doses, so it is going to be a while before we see advanced auto-updates and it is hard to integrate new things into a system because of the technology, ahmph, that moneysoftz allows them to harness. Limited market will be destroyed by the hand of independent mover-goers who respond to great work, more so than great wealth and power. Bungie is slowly swaying this way. Ok, what else? Well Griffball is going great so far. I ran into a GENERAL who is an extreme booster in the International Tournament just an hour ago or so... What else, what else... SPOILERS AHEAD! Ever since I beat H3 and seen the legendary ending, and if you haven't, stop reading now: I noticed towards the last level of the game, where you're in the flood capitol city high charity, retrieving Cortana, and encountering the massive brain waves of the flood minister Gravemind, THAT Gravemind does indeed reveal that he knows Cortana is using High Charity as a muse, explosive if you will, to blow up the Ark. And I sorta quote, "I know her secret!" - Gravemind Anyway, my theory is that instead of High Charity successfully blowing up, Gravemind uses the Dawn, Captain Miranda Keyes' ship instead of High Charity to blow up the Ark. NOW, how do you say that is possible? Well I think of the Pillar of Autumn, The OG Capn' Keyes' ship, can destroy one Halo ring, it can certainly destroy an Ark that is smaller. So, in the Legendary ending, is it this so called "Forerunner Marathon City" you see at the end. Or is it really Gravemind and High Charity, the one who knew his fate and escaped at the last moment to greet the ol Chief and Cortana? You decide... ALSO HALO THE -blam!- WARZ! And, please understand that Bungie does not control the price of maps. Moneyzoftz gets a cut of the rug and they mean business! Wait for Bungie to go on its own and develop and far superior console. I am going to attempt to fathom a notion of helping in order to help Bungie achieve this. jk, I am just going to end up working for Bungie. Bungie. One more thing, GRIFFFBALLLLLLLLLL! Another thing, haterz, stop hating. one more thing again: To Bungie: Colon. Bungie, I am personally very proud of you. Making maps, debugging, getting things -blam!- done. How many companies can say they are productive as you? Not many. Be grateful Bungie actually listens and manages to have real lives and yet still have very successful jobs where they get stuff done. You know how many people struggle with family problems that get so bad they can't even work? These are people who are making millions, yet slaving at some point to make things right. It's not easy to put something in front of your life, you sacrifice your time, your being. In the end you may know it was all worth it, that on your death bed the life you lived was real. But here is Bungie, giving something they don't even have to, constantly, because they are good people.   • Wow, those filters will be fun! imagine a gloomy zombie game or blurred one so u can't quite see whats around u! Hey, question, can u merge filters, like put 2 on the map at once, ie gloomy blur? Or make it so only the humans have a blurred screen?

  • I would have thought the filters would be a feature added in the theater. It's a shame they don't work for older maps, but it's still a nice feature. All the new maps look amazing. I'm not sure about the new aesthetics of Blackout, but as long as it brings back the magic of Lockout, I don't really mind. Avalanche looks way cooler than sidewinder. Good job, Bungie.
