Are ammo synthesis useless?
So I was just playing through the weekly heroic alone, and when I got the Archon Preist to about 1/4 health I ran out of ammo. I had to wait another minute before I could use another synthesis, so I was just throwing grenades while I was waiting. Then out of nowhere all my ammo replenishes. Full primairy, special, and heavy.
I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else, or if it was just a glitch. I havn't tested it out yet, but do you think that this will happen every time?
Update: I just got done testing it, and once you run out of ammo, it will replenish after about 30 seconds. Someone in the comments mentioned that it picks up all the ammo in the area, which would make sense.

1 ReplyIt's not really a refill. If you notice when that happens it picks up the ammo packs around you that you didn't get. If there isn't a heavy ammo pack on the ground you won't get any heavy. I've seen this happen.

2 RepliesI swear this doesn't happen when juggler modifier is on though. But yeah outside of juggler areas you get ammo if you are out completely after like 30 sec, been like that forever.

2 RepliesThe ammo refresh does not give you a full stock of ammo. If you are out of both primary and special it will split them up. If its just primary it will give you full ammo. I use ammo synths all the time. The ammo refresh is not at all timely and you can get killed while waiting for it. Some times it happens right away sometimes it takes forever. This is probably my experience of the passing time however as when you are being bombarded time seems to pass more slowly. I have hit my glimmer cap numerous times. I have bought every name plate and shader I could the money was just going to waste so I started buying synths with it. If you have a better use for glimmer let me know cause as it seems Bungie intended on us just flushing glimmer down the toilet. There is nothing else to buy with it. Correct me if im wrong please.

Yeah it works in everywhere.even with juggler.just empty all your weapons (primary,special and heavy) and you will get more ammo (space magic?)

Part of the game since launch, when you run out of ammo in every weapon just wait about 60 seconds and it refills.

By design, game will pick up ammo that is on the ground within a certain radius.

No it's just part of the game. Whenever you're almost out of ammo and you know can't find any, just waste all your shots, wait a minute and it'll replenish your ammo. No I'm not trolling. I've been saved by this many times.

Normal, you have to run completely out of ALL ammo and wait about 40sec and all ammo will re-fill

Yeah, just keep in mind it doesn't happen in Crucible. If you run out of ammo you're pretty much screwed until your next spawn, unless of course you pick some up.
