You already know what this thread is about. We don't know (and may never know) if there truly is more to the VoG, but regardless the search will inevitably continue.
I am making this thread because I have done a lot of searching and theory testing, like too much. Ask me anything, and I will be able to tell you if it has been done or not. I will be able to tell you if you're ideas are worth a shot or not. I will try to reply to every post and give you my input. I'm not trying to brag but I probobly have more knowledge of the search than all the other thread OP's combined. There is just way too much shit being flung around on these threads (excuse my french). But seriously, don't take advice from them, they don't know nearly as much as they should.
I would gladly make a list of my findings, but I'd rather keep this post less cluttered for now. [b]So go ahead, ask away.[/b] I would really like to get this one trending rather than the ill-knowladged ones that are going on right now.

[spoiler]-Under/In front of the spire (its on the ground) is another portal guarded by a lone pretorian. On the wall above the portal are red lights connected in a fashion that seems to look like a map of some sort.
-A special musical number plays when you perfectly open the spire (AKA don't let pretorians enter the plates). It is very distinctive. THIS HAS BEEN DUBUNKED. NOT TRUE
-The lights in the ceiling above the first chest are actually just environment lights and have nothing to do with triggers. I was actually the one to theorize about them a while back, and a lot of people caught on. Sadly, they don't mean anything.
-There are boxes everywhere and nobody knows why. I push them off because #YOLO
-There is an alternative path under chest 1.
-Inside the alternative path there are many red lights on the wall. Shooting them will make a spark effect.
-There are at least 4 hidden rooms in the alternative path that seem perfects for some hidden content.
-Upon exiting the alternative path, the first conflux spawns. Its almost like clockwork, like you were meant to take that way.
-There is one red light in the templars area. Its on the left side by the left conflux.
-A 5th chest can spawn when you prevent the templar from teleporting and if it is done under 10 minutes. It contains ascendent materials.
-The spirit bloom chest does not seem to trigger anything. The 5th chest does not disappear when you open it.
-There are a few hidden rooms in the spirit bloom passageway, some are actually pretty big.
-In the gorgons area is 11 'blue flames' on the ground. Standing on it will extinguish them.
-There are about 4 red lights in the gorgons area.
-Above the chests in the gorgons area (on the ceiling) is a pattern that resembles the Vex Mythoclast scope almost exactly. It is really strange. Look up next time you're in there.
-There is a hidden tunnel left of the jumping puzzle. Take the tunnel and jump down about 200 meters where there is another hidden cave.
-Upon taking this hidden tunnel, a second set of platforms spawn and take you to Atheons door.
-A lone vex gate is in the jumping platforms. Getting there is easy, getting back is almost impossible.
-There are red lights outside of Atheons door.
-Atheons door can be opened during the Gatekeeper fight.
-After killing Atheon, time stops. The times is stuck at 0.
-There is a way to activate 'Time Vengeance' after atheon is dead and time is stopped.
-Gorgons respawn in the same exact location about 30 seconds after you kill them. It sucks.
-There is a way to bypass the gorgons 'immunity' that they gain after killing one. If you cycle damage types (i.e. void, arc, solar) per gorgon the immunity won't occur, therefore the gorgons don't 'get stronger'. However, read the bullet above this one[/spoiler]
[b]EDIT 2: Here is a list of theories that have been [u]debunked[/u]:[/b]
[spoiler]-Flawless runs on normal mode (Perfect spire open, no sacrifices, no oracle marking, no teleports, no gorgons gaze, and no deaths.) No chest spawns in the tunnel left of jumping puzzle nor on the lone vex portal.
-Touching all platforms with all members does not do anything special.
-Full fire team of raid gear (without shaders) does not make you immune to gorgons.
-The bubble shield with the blinding ability does not blind gorgons.
-Killing gorgons does not do anything special, they respawn from a cave in the back in about 30 seconds.
-Standing on blue flames in gorgons area does not do anything.
-Having all members stand on the vex portal in the jumping puzzle does not do anything.
-Bringing the relic to the vex portal in the jumping puzzle does not do anything.
-Atheons door cannot be opened after gatekeeper fight with the relic.
-The 'Light in the distance' past behind atheon when he spawns is impossible to get to. Shooting it with the relic does not do anything.
-Bringing the relic to the gorgons maze does not inta-kill gorgons.
-Killing the oracles as they spawn and 'show themselfs' does not spawn a chest.
-Killing atheon without using times vengeance does not seem to spawn a chest, but not everywhere was searched.
-Not opening any chests does not make one appear after atheon where he first spawns. It also does not make the loot better for any of the drops.
-A special musical number does not play for a perfect spire opening. One always plays, it can be different ones but they are RNG'd
-Killing oracles in the order they spawn each round does not drop extra loot or spawn a chest in the templars area. We didn't check the crystal cave though.
-Gorgons do not respawn from a cave in the back, but rather spawn out of thin air about 30 seconds after you kill one. Its super lame.
-The 'map' outside of the spire does not change when you open chests.
-Shooting the red lights in the trail of Kabr does not do anything special. We did this both in order and all at the same time.

10 RepliesAnybody else notice one of the gates (I think Mars?) is open after you defeat Atheon? Also, I've always wondered why the no end-game screen "bug" was never fixed... maybe it's NOT a bug and the raid is not over at Atheon? And you have to get out through that open gate? Only problem is, I stepped in and I got marked, which eventually turned my screen black. Maybe there is a relic in there somewhere, or maybe you have to scope with a V.Mytho in order to see through the mark?

Like say STRATEGIZE and come up with a plan to say have a team get the usual relic have a guy go into the other portal and see if theres something in the portal atheon didnt teleport your team into? I heard atheon doesnt teleport someone who runs out when the fight begins(UNCONFIRMED). So say kill gatekeepers and protect conflux have one guy run out before door closes then have ethier -other 5 run into past a future, see what happens -have 2 run into past and 2 run into future. One stays in the arena and ones outside the door, see what you can find Some speculation ^_^ tell me what you think

During the first portal phase following the gate keeper battle we had two people entering the gates simultaneously to retrieve the relics. I was standing on the mars/future gate clearing the supplicants when he called for help inside. Immediately after I entered the portal the entire team went down simultaneously. I used my radiance, grabbed the relic, went back through the portal and ran up to the Atheon's spawn. Expecting to die soon I quickly gazed at the light in the distance, then started back toward the center; noticing the door was open. When I reached middle of the stairs; on my way to the door, Oricals started running a cycle on the back side of both portals stair case's/Atheon's main stage. I was so surprised it took me a moment to pull out my Vex and start shooting. I managed to shoot 3 before being consumed. Is this is a glitch or something else? I just figured I would share this situation. I was trying to explain to my team what happened and they chalked-it-up to a glitch. I've ran the VOG 20 or so times and never saw this. Note: We did demolish the Gorgon patrolling the material chest on the return trip from the chest and did not get noticed by any other on our way too the jumping maze.

Go on then I know where the 6th chest is...[spoiler]the spirit bloom chest that spawns in a cave below/between the left and center sync plates at the beginning. It spawns once the spire has activated so it is in my opinion a vog chest... Maybe the two spirit bloom chests are linked?[/spoiler]

4 RepliesI might have found something new in VOG, well not technically in VOG but it is interesting. I don't know if you've seen it before but here it goes. If you load up VOG and as soon as you spawn in take a right all the way to the place where there are a ton of minotaurs. Go to the front of the area where there two lone Minotaurs (lvl 20) and there should be a stair case that you have to jump up to. Then follow the hallway above the staircase all the way through. If you have loaded up VOG you'll see that these enemies are VOG level and are 26 on normal and I believe (Cant remember) they are 30 on hard. This area is very peculiar, there is some glowing stuff and a "portal" like area. It may just be un finished dlc because the light from the "portal" doesn't lead anywhere from what I can tell. Sorry if this is stupid, but I don't ever remember anything about this from the story or anything. Let me know what you think :/

8 RepliesMy Theories: -Theres A Ghost That Spawns Everytime You Start The Raid By The GateLords Gate On Venus. All Enimies On The Way There Are Scaled To The Raid Level, Which Is Odd. Maybe Send 1 Person Over To Said Ghost And Retrieve It While The Rest Of The Team Open The Gate. Perhaps It Triggers Something Inside. -The Templars Well Was Ment To Be Found WAY BEFORE IT WAS. After The First Chest, Going The Main Route, Hug The Right Wall. You'll Eventually Find An Opening That Leads To The Well. BUT ITS BLOCKED BY SOME GOLDEN WALL MATERIAL. This Leads Me To Believe That Something Needs To Be Triggered Either While Opening, Or Making The Way In To The Vault To Remove Said "Wall". -The Gatelords Gate Has 3 Blue Circles On It, Oddly Resembling The Platforms Needed To Be Held In The Beginning. The Left One Is Closer To The Top, The Right One Being Further Away. (Looking Straight At The Vault Door Upon Spawning.) Maybe 3 People Head Over To The Gatelords Gate While The Other 3 Open The Vault. (Remember, Only Praetorians Can Take Control Of The Gates) Something May Trigger Over There Or In The Vault. -Maybe Theres Another Hidden Tunnel In The Gorgons Area, Everyones So Gunhoe To Get To The Exit. Before Opening Atheons Door, Turn Around And Look All The Up. There Seems To Be An Opening Up There, Myself And Many Other Plays Have Thrown Grenades Up INTO This Area, Just Cant Figure Out How To Get Up There. Maybe Its An Alternate Route From The Maze. -Killing The Oracles As They Appear Before They Spawn IS POSSIBLE. Maybe Have All 6 Players In The Oracles Respective Locations With Supers Ready And Kill Them While They're "Sounding Off". Bladedancer Doesn't Last Long Enough, But The Relic (Like Any Of The Swords) Lets You "Swing Glide". Maybe Take A Titan With You To Give You A Quick Boost. Ive Seen A Video Of This On Youtube, And In This Video The Player Bladedanced As Far As He Could, And His Screen Started To Glow In A "Golden" Colored Light. MAYBE KABR's BODY AND/OR GHOST IS BACK THERE. His Lore States "I Have Made A Hole In The Vault. Light Shines Through, Bathe Yourself In It" The Relics Grimoire Lore Even States: "May This Be The Tool Of Your [u]Deliverance[/u]" Deliver You To Where? Yes I Understand The Whole "Its The Tool To Your Power In The Vault", But Think Outside-Inside The Box. Think Literal. MAYBE THE SECRETS OF THE VAULT WONT BE "PATCHED" IN UNTILL THE NEXT DLC COMES OUT. With Hopes High On The VOG Armor Being Further Upgradeable, Maybe They'll Find A Way To Send Us Back Into The Vault To Discover More. Maybe Liven Up Some Of The "Dead" Areas. I Don't Know. 1 ReplyHey don't know if this means anything but I was reading the grimoir on the vex and stumbled upon the precursor vex (the past) and the vex descendants (future) I don't know about you but I have yet to see these distinctive descendant vex which would mean we are in the future, the card also starts to say something like "survivors of the vault of glass" where the precursor card mentions "guardians who have delve deep into the vault of glass. Could we be missing something after we survived the vault? Maybe somehow we can make it to the future?

When you get to the jumping puzzle if you turn around and head back to the gorgon maze until you get to a thin vertical light bar on left, it will load gorgons maze and give you full ammo when you look at this light. Handy easy and cool check it out.

4 RepliesVengeance - punishment inflicted or retribution exacted for an injury or wrong. I never really understood why during timed vengeance, we all scurried to the middle, to do massive amounts of damage to someone we never knew before then. Why is it atheon we kill? He never harmed us in a fashion that would cause us to retaliate. Atheons purpose is to gaurd the confluxes, from whatever the unthinkable. Has anyone tried to get the relic from one gate into the opposite gate, during timed vengeance?

i found an alcove is the jumping maze. right as your get across and have to go through the part where you have to jump around the wall. walk across the ledge and when you start to fall off jump straight back up, hidden cave on the right.

you didn't mention the red lights that are next to the mars/Venus portals in atheon room. They caught my attention the other day. Their is more to Vog that I'm sure of. But the answer may not lay in the vault itself. Campus 9 and beyond has something to do with it. So does the black garden.

1 ReplyI have a theory that I'm wondering was tested or not. Three players stay outside of the VoG door, one on each sync plate. The other three players go inside, all the way to Atheon's door. One person stays outside to watch the lone vex gate. Two people go inside, kill the first gatekeeper, and stand on both of the sync plates. Possibly all 5 sync plates need to be activated to open the lone gate?

I heard they confirmed there was another chest... Then they said they misheard the question asked... This means it is not "confirmed" but I am certainly still interested in looking around.
