Who uses exotic primaries in pve?
I find exotic primaries quite useless in pve. they are my weapons of choice in PVP obviously because level advantages are disabled. it's much better to use a raid weapon like VoC or the fatebringer for getting the raid/nightfalls/weeklies/dailies done asap.

I will only part from my Hawkmoon to level up The Last Word or to use the icebreaker. Other than that i rarely even use specials or heavies.

for anything with a burn modifier a raid primary is your best bet, no doubt. In the raid though I use my hawkmoon every chance I get. When I've got a handcannon as good as the hawkmoon on me I find I typically don't use my special or heavy ammo anyways (save for stuff like minotaurs).

I use Mida or Suros. Until I got Patience and Time from the nightfall this morning my available selection of exotic secondaries/heavies was Pocket Infinity, Invective or Super Good Advice. Not much to choose from pve-wise.

It's one thing for them to be a fall back, use under certain circumstances but there are significantly better Secondary and Heavy weapons to use. Would you really choose Suros over Gjallahorn or Icebreaker, nope. I almost only use Visions of Confluence now. I have Atheon's but I find my fusion rifle is better suited for Void Shields. EDIT-- But I only found this to be true as I diversified my weapons selection. I used to only use Suros in primary slot. As I started collecting more weapons I found my weapon choice was changing. I'm sure it'll change again as new weapons are available.

Both my friends use Monte Carlo and Hardlight exclusively and just swap them out only if something like Icebreaker is needed. Personally I'm a fan of my TDYK so Invective/Icebreaker are always available :)

i used the mythoclast for everything when it first came out and worked before everyone cried, now i just use the vision of confluence all the time because auto rifles are for people that cant aim

I use Suros on my lvl 28 alt. Just for fun more than anything. I don't like swapping out weapons either and I use Shadow Price backed up with Ice Breaker on my main, so instead of it gathering dust in my vault I use it on my alt character.

I tend to alternate between a few weapons, two of them exotics. -Atheons Epilogue for raiding and low-pressure content (Tiger strikes, patrol, etc) -Thorn for messing around. Something about watching my enemies get poisoned to death is just satisfying. -Suros Regime for SRS BUSINESS TIEM (Nightfall, weekly heroic) -The Devil You Know when shit hits the fan. I'm really hoping to replace TDYK with fatebringer at some point, but alas, it only drops from the hard mode templar.

I use thorn a lot in PvE. But if I need that shotgun damage I use invective so I don't worry about ammo

exotic prims in pvp 99% of the time hawkmoon, in pve I almost always use an exotic secondary, and in raid I would always use a gal if I had it.

Im almost always using vex pve/pvp but in nightfalls and raids VoC is better (more ammo) and btw u can use any gun on pve becouse most pve enemys are scrubs (nighfall and raid not included) so it dosent really mather just use gun you like using.

Purely personsal preferences really. I thinks it was just the fact that those weapons fit your playstyle, while most of the exotic don't. That's all.

I do. The vex ( with upgraded magazine size) destroys everything. The suros regime is pretty good too but since my vision of confluence is roughly same rage of fire and more damage I've put my suros down for a while.

i would, ....should i have any ))) so far im pretty happy with fully upgraded Legendaries (Primary/Secondary). sure, the perks are somewhat lacking compared to the ones that come with exotics, but they do the job. enough to take me through the Nightfalls, Heroics and also Raid (twice, lol)
