time's vengeance starts when the oracles are killed. if you want to take him down in one run use the relic super on him
unless every player has maxed Ghorns the relic super will do enough damage to make up for the damage difference.
if you still need the relic bubble to kill him after 3 or 4 completions you are doing it wrong

Relic damage is 6k plus a splash of 3k (from what I've observed when using it this way).... Not worth it. His shield has way more protective value than the little damage output ( maxed out supremacy or IB Will do over 12k a shot). 5 protected by the bubble using ice breakers will do much more damage not being under duress. But to each his/her own.

When got everyone in the center he doesn't move much as long as you don't throw aoe over time grenades. and everyone can hit his crit shooting snipers and such at maximum rof. The DPS on a sniper flat out destroys the relic DPS. It's a pain in the ass to put damage on him when he is moving around like crazy chasing after the people that are all spread out. Too many obstacles and missed crits. I'm sure this problem is magnified 10x when you have less experienced players.

Ghorn is homing rockets and it doesnt matter what the other users have because no matter where they hit it is still DPS and thats what matters Ghorn maxed does about 50k with times vengeance icebreaker and snipers cant touch that
-
I wasn't talking about ghorn was I? Sure if you have a team full of ghorns then it is silly to go to middle because you will take him out in 1 turn. But a super majority of players don't have it, so they have to rely on snipers.
-
well i was talking about Ghorn. if you want an easy lvl 30 raid win just join a clan that operates that way we are recruiting on XB360 Viking Vivisection dont rely on randoms that dont have maxed weapons or the right loadouts
-
I only rely on randoms. Not because I don't have friends, or couldn't put together a pro team, but because I enjoy teaching. Case in point: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/76774373/0/0/1
-
those who do: can those who can't: teach
-
Are you saying, because I can't get a good team I teach instead? Terrible logic. I get more satisfaction and enjoyment from teaching a group of newbs than going easy mode with a regular team.
-
not terrible logic i get more satisfaction working in tandem with a team and reaping the benefits i can there fore i do you cant so therefore you teach
-
Edited by SerenityNOWWW: 11/11/2014 12:59:50 AMThe more logical conclusion would be, you are not good enough to successfully get a team of newbs through completion, so you are forced to have a regular team to easy mode it.

i am usually on relic duty (even as a 29) and my team has 4 Ghorns once we exit that portal we spam not stop and anyone that doesnt have Ghorn just spams whatever they have, if i dont use the relic super he is left with about 10% health and we risk a wipe with those that are not as proficient in the portals or defending against Supplicants we have our strategy down to an art (even though the random ports sucks sometimes) even the gatekeeper phase takes us less than 5 min. two hold open each portal, one team mate goes in each portal to get the relic and comes back out to defend the conflux
-
Yeah... Four+ gjallahorns is the best strategy!. Most don't have that. So a more protective run is needed. So typically at least four portal runs are necessary when doing it with a fire team not holding a bunch of gjallahorns.
-
I disagree. I could agree if you're talking about doing it with the same team every week. But the easiest way to prevent -blam!- ups with PUGs is to go to the middle. That's the one strategy that almost everyone knows and is guaranteed to work. It may take a little longer but it's worth it rather than wiping and trying to get the new comers that have never used any other strategy on the same page.
