I agree with you on hard. On normal it's just annoying to let them get their shields.

This one I find split opinions on and it just depends on your team. I say don't, but others like for the two shooters to take down the hobgoblin not next to the others. When I grab the relic on Mars, I always skirt to the outside of the right wall then hop over and slam when I get to the bottom, so I prefer that if anything, they shoot at the hob on the left. Otherwise it is frustrating to get down there and have invincible hobgoblins.

I run down the middle of the stairs double jump and slam the two on the left because there usually the ones closest together. i don't see the need to run to the right. Use your triple jump to move higher after a second and use the slam and there probly going to miss you anyway and 1 shot won't kill you. I find sliding helps when needed if you can't kill 2 or all of them with the first hit.
