Easier to obtain Exotics than Legendary?
Does anyone else find it easier to obtain Exotics than Legendary gear?

I got 3 legendary guns from the nightfall. So no. Lol

depends. it seems easier to get an exotic weapon than a legendary. But either way it is far easier to do the weekly's, nightfalls, and pub events and grind for blue engrams that become coins and just buy what xur has. I can get exotics at a much higher rate that way than I can on hoping that anything better than blue drops. Of course you can purchase 2 items per week with vanguard and crucible marks as well. But it seems that we're talking about drops in game or rewards, not grinding currency. either way it's almost always faster to grind currency than hope on the arrival of RNGesus.

4 exotic drops total. Some days I'll get 4 legendary drops. Definitely not the case for me.

3 RepliesI've never gotten an exotic item to randomly drop. I've gotten exotic bounties, and everything else came from Xur. I've received several legendaries from random drops. As for Xur making exotics more common than legendaries, Xur is only around for two days and offers a few pieces at a time. The Vanguard and factions are always there and offer full sets of armor and a selection of weapons.

Yep, although neither one is really exciting to find. Exotics are boring, and legendaries are even worse. There is no reason to pick any legendaries over another based on anything other than whether its a raid piece or not.

Across all characters: [b]Exotics[/b] 3 helmets, 1 chest, 1 arm, 5 primary, 2 special, 1 heavy [b]Legendary[/b] 1 helmet, 5 chest, 2 arm, 2 boots, 4 primary, 1 heavy 13 exotics vs. 15 legendary. That ratio isn't right. It should be closer to 6-5 exotics vs. 22-23 legendaries. I get truckloads of blues, though. Plenty of weapon parts and armor mats that I'll never use, I guess.

yup. buying it from xur is much quicker than waiting for leg engrams to drop then get screwed over by cryptarch

For a while there, I had more exotic weapons than legendary. Then I made two more characters, got their rep packages, now I'm dismantling legendary and exotics I don't want/need.
