•
Posted by: Tc Lust Tc The flood are trying to gain power, and I woudn't say grunts are what we would all call powerfull, so hope I answered your question.. (>-.-)>Tc<(-.-<)...
You answered his question, but you answered it wrong. Grunts are the carrier forms - the flood that explode when shot. Its talked about in the books, so there is no need to ask anyone to confirm. Humans are the smaller Flood that attack you, and the Elites are the larger Flood. Also, the Chief CAN be infected. When you die, you're essentially being infected. They just don't show it.

 • What would it look like? A brute-flood infected type? No way, too strong. A spider thing? Thats what made it become flood. What would it be?

 •
Why do did wanna infect a grunt anyway? Look at the size of the grunt, 1 or 2 melee attack will do the trick so Bungie did not really care bout it.
I know they wouldn't be hard to fight but a group of infected grunts running at would be damn cool

 • if you were a flood would you want to posses a grunt. Think of it like this. Grunts are weak.... Very weak. other than their gernades and fuel rod guns they are crap. the flood probably try to posses the strongest things out there which is why the posses elites and brutes but not jackals or grunts.

 •
Posted by: SanguisDiabolus They can't infect the Grunts or Jackals because both of those lifeforms do not have enough biomass to sustain an infection form and turn it into a combat form. Typically, Grunts are used to create Carrier forms.
• they do but the only create carriers so they made it so you dont actually see it happening because you would get mobbed by carriers and infection spores everytime a grunt dies

 • Because they're not useful to them. They only infect elites and brutes because they're more powerful then the grunts and jackals.
