Wtf just leveled my vanguard to rank 4 no purple gear?? Just got a mote
Wtf is goin on.. I was informed that I will get an insured purple upon ranking above 3?

7 RepliesYou get a weapon/armor every 3 level, so 3, 6, 9 and so on.

1 ReplyIt's RNG - anyone who told you different is lying. There is no guarantee of weapons or armor at certain increments. Stop believing everything you read. If bungie didn't say it directly then it's immediately questionable.

2 RepliesIts random every time, nothing is assured, i know, my rank is in the 20's and a lot of times all i have gotten are motes and blues with the occaisional purple engram, shader or weapon.

Random. Sometimes you get a legendary, sometimes you get 2 legendaries, sometimes it's just a class item, sometimes it's just shards.

From my experience so far it isnt guarantied there is just a chance of getting legendary stuff.

2 RepliesI'm rank 10 on DO and only got three legendaries from all the level up packages. That's completely normal.

I'm level 8 or 9 with New Monarchy and they've just given me cloaks and useless pieces of armor with a mote or ascendant material. The last level was just a helmet and an energy. Decided to level Dead Orbit for a while.

You're insured a package from the faction you ranked up, not a legendary item.

1 ReplyNo sir you're gauranteed a legendary package. Look at possible contents before you open them doesn't guarantee a legendary could be other stuff
