I don't understand the complaints about rng. So many other games have it and they don't get the same crap. Maybe it's that there isn't an auction house or something and I think that would be a very welcome addition if done correctly, but really I don't understand why rng is so hated. Heaven forbid you haven't gotten the weapon or armor you want. I haven't gotten either of the two thing I want more than anything, that's just the game, the way it works.

Then make it hard to earn See all that gear you want but RNG doesn't like you? Well bungie could just make it so that you definitely can get it, IF you are good enough. Wouldn't that qualify as "hard to earn"? Like making actual, difficult challenges like a 3.00 k/d for 10 out of a max of 15 crucible matches. This is far less FRUSTRATING than RNG.

But then you put people who maybe aren't good at crucible in a position where they will never get those items. Or if you do pve, like they do for the raid, you put people that aren't great at pve or don't have friends in a position where they can't get the raid gear. That's what position im in. I don't have people to do the raid, I also don't have the guaranteed time to devote to sitting and doing the raid so should people really be left unable to get certain pieces of gear

For the raid, i'm just supporting the idea to have a currency that you earn from playing the raid, so you can buy the raid weapons. If you depend on RNG, you're still gonna be grinding, son big dif, but at least you can be certain that one day you will get it. For crucible......well.....for at least the exotic weapons, you should have a pretty difficult bounty. It MIGHT alienate some less skilled players, but in the worst case scenario, perhaps they should be given an exotic weapon engram when they complete the normal story mode. That'll prevent them (aka ME) from being too upset. For rares and below, RNG is fine For legendaries, i GUESS it's pretty okay, since you know you'll get them eventually. maybe make some tweaks, but i'm fine with the system

What's the other option. Letting you pick the gear you want? Having everything purchasable?

i liked the idea of raid tokens and upgrading exisiting legendary gear, so people would actually be unique, and everyone can level up, there would be no 30's now, people could hit 30 this month in time for DLC, keeps everyone on same playing field grinding it out, instead some got the gear right away, some may never get it

Yeah I don't like that the raid is the only way to get to level 30. That is only one aspect of the game, and not everyone gets to grind it to get to level 30. I'm more of a pvp person and it feels like bungie said the had things for everybody but then said oh yeah the only way to get to level cap is through pve. Plus that means every person wears one set of armor or they can't get to cap. Seems dumb
