So on the cosmodrome there a loot cave, and at the entrance are a bunch of mangled parts of i dont know what. If you go over it allows you to hold "x" and it says "Disturb the Remains" a dark voice starts to talk and says "A thousand deaths are not enough for Rahool," and Rahool (or Rahul?) is the cryptarch. So people were saying its just and easter egg and a reference to how you work hard for engrams and get nothing. Well i brought this to the attention of a friend and so we scouted it together and I well...pressed it about 5 times. We sat there expecting more but....nothing. As we were sort of afk in the cave, a bunch of thralls start to attack us. Which was weird since we were hidden and they didnt know we were here. We killed them big whoop. I held x again and heard the voice speak once more. We went back to being afk and i was hiding behind a rock in the cave, on my phone trying to look up things about this "easter egg". "Guardian down," i hear and look up and see my fire team mate down in the cave, then i started to be attacked by 2 Hallowed Knights! I didnt see what level they were but they killed me....
So we both respawned... He respawn before i did and as i respawned, i see my fireteam mate being BOMBARDED by about 7 Servitors, 4 wizards, 10 thralls, 5 hallowed knights and a bunch of the explosive thrall looking things (their name just slipped my mind). I have NEVER seen anything like that out in the cosmodrome, and they werent attacking anyone else but us. They were following my fireteam mate then they spotted

1 Replywhat you experienced was a public event where the fallen and hive fight each other on a massive scale from time to time it is in no way related to the remains the cave you found was the original loot cave back when the game launched and Bungie nerfed it soon after. They immortalized the spot with those remains as a reminder of the frustration the loot cavers had with the cryptarch and the many hours guardians put into farming the cave. unless you have played the game since launch and participated in loot caving there it means almost nothing to you
-
1 ReplyBungie put that pile in there after they fixes the loot cave. The battle you are speaking of is a battle between enemies whether it is hive vs fallen vex vs kabal. They are kinda like mini world events. It has nothing to do with that pile of bodies.
-
The enemy was moving against each other...it's an event that happens kind of rarely
-
It's a battle that goes on every so often
-
no actually this happens every so oftern, if you wait in that area (and don't push anything) you will eventaully see "the enemy is moving against each other" above your super charge bar. this happens on each planet (except the moon, haven't seen it there yet) and they send some tough enemies to fight, after awhile they will disappear. it's just random chance that you were -blam!-ing around with something bungie put in the game after they patched the loot cave.
-
You're theory is wrong. That's been in the game since the alpha. Every so often, on any planet, enemies will have an all out brawl between each other.

Thanks people c:

That's the all out battle between the fallen and the give that takes place in skywatch every now and then.

Edited by Tactical_brew: 11/8/2014 9:42:13 PMI remember this from doing the original cave where there would some panic wave of enemies. It went on for a while and was quite a battle. Not sure if it was bungie trolling but it was definitely legit. You would be farming and all the sudden get hammered by this wave. And it wasnt easy like you'd think. I thought it was cool though.
-
It's a horde kind of thing it launches two massive army's of powerful opponents from the hive and from the fallen...it's been doing that since the beta nothing unusual
-
1 ReplyIn Skywatch after you're there long enough a massive wave of enemies shows up. It happens in other locations too...Has nothing to do with disturbing the remains
-
There used to be a real loot cave there. When they patched it so you couldn't farm there they also added the burnt body's of the acolytes that were killed there over a million times. Just a memorial to days past. What happened with everything attacking you like that is there are certain spots on different planets that can become war zones at any time. This happens there often. You can check this at Destiny public events site.

1 ReplyAre there other remains on different planets???
-
Ahhh the old loot cave; good memories.
-
It was the forces are moving event were mass hive and fallen spawn and attack
-
It's an event. Happens regularly. There are several locations where they occur. It's been there since the loot cave was still being farmed.
-
Thats so strange, ive never had that happen to me cx well thanks guys :D
-
3 RepliesOr you got attacked by the hive that spawn in the cave first. They still spawn there.... every 45 seconds. Then the enemy moved on each other which is an event that has happened there since the game came out. But I mean hey. -blam!- logic right?
-
Nope it's a public event but instead of the event the enemy moves against one another. Basically enemies keep spawning for 5 mins and attack each other or players if they are nearby. This has happened randomly since day 1.

Edited by Lucianlegion: 11/8/2014 9:25:46 PMIt's basically a haha from Bungie, before they did the update that particular cave was the most lucrative and loads of players were using it to gear up quick and I think to quick for bungies approval so what they did was cripple the spawn times in that areas and put the remains there hence a million deaths is not enough to satisfy master blahblah. In other words you can't loot farm there like you could before. EDIT - that cave is a spawn area, above is a spawn area and just behind is a spawn area, and a few times I've been there and got hammered by a hell of a mix of enemies it's just ransoms spawn the timers for spawn are random but often I found they all spawn and repeat the spawn and flood you Knight generals and all plus as said events are regular there big time but cool theory though
