CDProjektRed has given all the DLC for both witchers for free. It's a business model for them, their philosophy is reward the people who buy their game. The fact that you're suspicious of such good will says a lot about the rest of the industry and nothing about CDProjektRed

I'm suspicious because they're making a big deal about it. If this is typical behavior then they don't need to sound off as loud as they can about it. Why suddenly make a big deal out of something you've been doing already? People know to expect it with you. You don't need to suddenly start yelling "Hey! Hey! Look what we're doing! We're different! We're not the greedy corrupt types!" Hell they even come out and say that. That just makes me even less likely to go for the "good" this is thought to be. When someone makes a drastic change to something they've typically done, it's good cause to be suspicious.

I think you're misinterpreting them. (They are very foreign) and they always do these press releases, this one is getting more attention because the previous 2 games were very well received. I'm a skeptic at heart myself, but CDProjektRed has always delivered up to this point so I have 0 evidence that would make me think they won't do the same here.

Alright so which is it? Are they just making a statement because they're so big this time around which justifies my cynical paranoia and they're lying to me and you're telling the truth? Or are you lying to me that "They've always done this" and they're truly "taking a new direction" by offering this up? Ether way I'm looking at this and I'm seeing "We're not the bad guys here like everyone else you're seeing, to prove it we'll throw in extras and we promise more "content" then even the most rabid of gamers will be hard put to chew through in less time then anyone else." It still boils down to they cannot realistically put out the same quality content in the amount they're promising and expect me to believe it will be substantial enough to satisfy me. That's what insulting about it.
