Like the title says, is it good? Should I bother upgrading it?

Edited by Draconus2006: 11/8/2014 1:37:52 AMI have used it a good bit in pvp (trying to level it all the way up). The nice thing about it is its fairly fast firing and its damage (55) means it kills in 4 headshots. Its more accurate at range than an auto rifle. IMO its likely best to pair it with a fusion rifle. i did not use a fusion rifle until I got this thing, but I find it has a deadzone at short range (and maybe a little bit farther) where auto rifles own you if your special weapon was a shotgun. Stick to slightly longer sight lines and auto rifles will be owned. Radar active while aiming is semi-useful, but you dont spend as much time zoomed as you do with a sniper. In a long duration firefight (like lets say a nasty 5v5 spat for a node) you wont be running out of ammo and reloading like an auto rifle will. I have had several large fight instances where i get a triple kill at the end of a large firefight because I am the only one not reloading. PRO: quick kills if you land headshots, owns at medium to medium long ranges, great for longer distance strafing fights and long duration firefights CON: is subpar compared to auto rifles at short range, of which many corridors only allow close or short range fights. aim assist at close range is far less effective at headshots which you require to defeat auto rifles.

1 ReplyAnyone know how rare of a drop the mida is? Just curious.

If you have a good trigger finger then upgrade it.

Honestly I think vision of confluence is way better for pve but the movement and agility bonuses are great for crucible

Using it in PVP right now and it's head shot machine. Loving it so far.

Edited by RifleAvenger: 11/8/2014 12:42:50 AMI'm not in position to beat the raid, but I did get a random MIDA from crucible. It has a large clip, fast fire rate, near instantaneous reload, and good stability for a scout rifle. It also has a lot less range and impact than most scout rifles. It also does less damage per shot in PvP than other scout rifles, probably due to the firing rate. It's agility and movement speed perks are actually quite substantial. In PvP, MIDA requires you to land more shots, but you also fire a lot faster with low recoil compared to other scout rifles. So overall kill time should be about the same. The decrease in range doesn't matter if you're playing on anything except the very largest maps. Keeping the radar while scoped is a lifesaver, and movement speed increase is great for maneuvering, escaping, strafing, etc. In PvE, the MIDA has a huge clip (and an upgrade that increases it further), can output a lot of shots very fast while remaining accurate (making it good against some of the enemy heavy units), and is a very sustainable weapon. The lower range and impact hurts a bit though. Overall, I think it's a good weapon, but if you can beat raid, you may want to hold out for Vision of Confluence. It does elemental damage and has a full auto mode if having to pull the trigger all the time is not your thing.

Lol VoC shoots slower then mida, Mida is immensely better, fatebringer is BIS for raid anyways

VOC is better

I liked it before I got the last word.

Bumping for more reviews.

3 RepliesThey call it the Mida Multi Trash.

It is a very nice scout rifle, however, if you're able to clear the raid, I would reserve that for an alt character, the Vision of Confluence is the better option. It drops from VoG hard or normal. It has an auto fire perk which makes it beast.

I like it, but VoC is better

Bump.
