Why is this post suddenly hidden? Did you get bungie all worked up?

Have to say I'm absolutely disgusted at some of the comments on this board. Free DLC from the Witcher, including missions = "Disgusting! They think they can fool me?!?! I'm too smart to fall for their obvious PR ploy!! The first DLC is an appearance pack, that should be in the game to begin with!! How dare they insult my intelligence as a consumer!!" In contrast, paid DLC from Bungie = "Amazing business decision by Bungie, charging for extra content is what businesses do in order to generate profit, thank you Bungie for taking my money in return for 3 whole story missions!! No way those 3 whopping missions could've been in the initial game because it takes so much time to design all new assets for those 20 minute missions!!" I seriously have to laugh at such blatantly hypocritical comments, because we all know that if Deej came out next week and said "Hey guys, big news here! We're releasing a patch tomorrow that includes all new shaders for your armor, new color schemes for your ships, and new facial customization options for your Guardians, and it's all free as our way of saying thanks for sticking with us!" the very same people slamming CD Projekt would trip over themselves praising Bungie as a developer that cares etc, etc. Seriously, if you're bashing free stuff as a "dirty, insulting capitalist corporate marketing ploy" while praising the misrepresentation Bungie engaged in as "a typical, acceptable, and admirable business strategy that all incorporated entities use in order to maximize profits" you really need to give your head a shake.

Companies have been charging for DLCs ever since DLCs have been around. Bungie has been charging since Halo 2 for Map Packs. This isn't a new thing. And Bungie does care about it's fans. I remember reading about a story a fews ago about a kid who had a limited Halo edition Xbox 360 that was signed by the Developers at Bungie. It red-ringed and when he sent it in to get fixed, they didn't send him the same xbox. So Bungie, being the loving and caring company that they are, sent him a new signed xbox with a bunch of other Halo swag. And more recently, a man who has been going through physical therapy and was suggested by his doctor to play Destiny to help, was given a gun that no one has been able to get yet. Everyone has criticized Bungie for this. I find it just shows that they do care about their fans. When everyone in PvP was complaining about the Vex Mythocast being overpowered, they nerfed it. Now people are complaining that they nerfed it too much for PvE. They have addressed this issue and have been working on fixing that. There are instances where they add something that people don't care for. But every game developer does that. Fixing the Atheon fight makes it more enjoyable. Having him step off after 3 hours of people trying to line him up just right, is much worse than actually doing the fight. But alas, people complain about it. I for one, like that they fixed it. You can kill Atheon in about 10 minutes if you have a team that isn't focused on trying to cheese the bosses. It was meant to be difficult. It is now. Bungie listens to its community. How about you try posting something that is beneficial to the community instead of something that tears it apart?

my destiny dlc's are free of charge with my ghost edition so i dont really care :D

This is psychology. This as well is content that's ready before launch and they are withholding for the purpose of these DLC packs to make it seem like they are doing you a huge solid when in reality they are giving you stuff they could have given you in the first place. I equate this to the shader and grimoire codes Destiny had before launch.

Or they took 16 things out of the game pre-release, and labeled them as " free DLC ". The plot thickens!

Bungie is dead. I can say it's the first time in my life that I have done a complete 180 degrees on my opinions regarding a corporation that I liked for some reasons (and I don't like a lot!). They have already started working on Destiny 2, and I'm still disconnecting from every 6vs6 playlist I go in. Milking season is around the corner. That cash cow is gonna have sickly tits in a very close future, I assure you. Edit: typo.

You do realize that this 'free DLC' is little more than extra armor, and a bit of customization, right? Which Destiny has already given us? We've gotten new armor from the Iron Banner, and the Queen's Wrath event. And we'll be getting new shaders and such soon. They claim they'll include new quests, but I'll believe it when I see it.

by that argument all special events should be considered free dlc.

Hello This is Deej I'd like to assure you that this is a lie, Clearly witcher 3 will suck and is trying to bribe people. On that note, Make sure to Get the next season pass for destiny. Only 100$ for content already on your disc, Will include 2 strikes and half a raid that kills 5 members after 1 second of the boss fight starting. Zombies included only if you get the NEXT season pass. We also will be adding another planet in the 6th DLC, Mars 2.0, On the other side of mars awaits the teenage turtles. Abandoned by their older brothers in merdian bay they are standing up to them by eating pizza and saying dude to many times. Additionally we will have another 5 more crafting materials you need to spend 100 hours farming called "Guardian tears, That's not my DLC Blooms, Don't take my wallet leather, Pepperoni pizza shards, and Turtle wax" -Signed Sarcastic individual

As I posted in the other Witcher outlet, their stance on dlc is pretty awesome "We don’t see the idea as wrong, but we definitely don’t like to see gamers treated like dairy cows that are primed for milking. All too often, DLC is seen as an additional revenue opportunity. That’s not bad in itself – we’re not only in this industry to make games, we’re also here to do business. But we shouldn’t look at it exclusively from the latter angle, because that sometimes leads to decisions that could leave a bad taste in one’s mouth. If you only think about the business in terms of the money it can generate, I think you could come awfully close to forcing players to buy something additional in order to enjoy fully a game they just bought. And that’s simply not fair." For those laughing at what the content is, you should know they have always had extensive amounts of free goodies for pc. It's kind of what they do. I would expect a lot more free stuff (at least for pc) in the future considering the first Witcher had multiple missions added, animations, textures, upgraded npc and monster characters. And the second Witcher also had multiple mission and cinematics put in. CD Projekt could just be the anti thesis for how Desinty is being handled. As they said about Witcher 2, "game industry experts even suggested that we should produce fewer patches, or at least refrain from mentioning all the corrections and changes in the readme files, as this creates the impression that the game was unfinished. That’s just the wrong way of thinking to me, and it goes against our company values. Hiding facts? Taking a manipulative stance towards our customers? Come on – that’s pure bullshit! " . Honestly, people can say whatever they want, but I have and will always back the company that has these as their foundations.
