Do you KNOW how to use the relic?
I've been with a lot of random groups that there's still people that refuse to grab the relic.. why is that? I mean it's random teleports now.... three people Tele that refuse to grab the relic what do you do? Just saying learn ALL the roles in the raid...

[b]Jump + RT/R2[/b]: Ground slam attack with AoE (like Sword of Crota)
[b]LB/L1[/b]: Dome shield that also cleanses marks

1 ReplyI know how to use a relic, but as a warlock I'd rather have a Titan carry it since they're tankier. Especially at Atheon since I can't ham up against a Praetorian and I'd rather just throw down a nova bomb and clear the spawn.

1 ReplyI like the relic and am one of the better relic users in my regular raid group. Everyone in the group is at least capable of carrying it, but both of our Titans chose not to unless they have to, because they feel they support the group better by retaining their ability to drop bubbles. The rest of us appreciate that sentiment.

Even my group that I play with gets carried away and loses focus. If I get teleported, I grab relic. The oracle guys are quiet and listen to the relic holder. If they aren't moving down fast enough or are spread out I'll ask them to move down the steps and stay close to me. Also, when you go outside and if you are all in the bubble I will call out the time left for ToV and usually around 3 seconds we will either: A: Spread out OR B: A titan will pop a bubble if we are on normal and dont have to worry about detain. I will also be watching the sides for supplicants and telling the team to be cautious/kill them. The relic holder is a QB.

1 ReplyI go for the relic on mars/desert/past. On venus/jungle/future I prefer to use my golden gun to weaken the minotaur quickly. Do titans get an over-shield for melees with the relic?

13 RepliesFor Atheon, I've found it more effective not to use the bubble shield. People die in it anyways. Instead. Your team should dodge while the relic holder slams Atheon with the super blast.

I love using the relic, until the preatorian I'm fighting refuses to take any damage regardless of the attack im using. Worst fuking bug in the raid right now.

1 ReplyI wreck with the relic. Couple days ago on the gatekeeper stage the whole team wiped, including the other relic carrier. With his relic being dropped, the screen turned red. I jump-smashed the last two minotaurs just before dying. We did NOT advance the checkpoint to Atheon but we DID get the gatekeeper rewards! Ultimate Postmortem!

You forgot that RT/R2 (not in the air) slams forward doing more damage then the regular swing(Rb/R1)

1 ReplyI [u]always[/u] grab the relic because I want to be in control of the success of the run and don't trust anyone else with it. It's really not that hard to use. Lemme school you bitches real quick (applies to Xbox): [b]RB[/b]: Regular attack (like Sword of Crota) [b]Jump + RT[/b]: Ground slam attack with AoE (like Sword of Crota) [b]LB[/b]: Dome shield that also cleanses marks [b]LB + RB[/b]: Super, shoots a ball of hurt, aim with crosshair. Grab the shield immediately and go to work killing the vex down the stairs, make sure your portal mates thrown grenades to help. Use mainly the Jump + RT attack because it one-hits the goblins and stuns the minotaur. As soon as they're dead get next to your portal mates shooting oracles and cleanse them as soon as you can (you can see it charging on the bottom left). Once you get out of the portal jump to the middle or wherever your team likes so you can shield the team while they shoot Atheon with Time's Vengeance. Done.
