So, when I started playing Crucible I was pretty terrible. I had a negative KDR and my teams lost more often than we won. I checked a week after starting. My Combat Rating was something like 92.
The last couple of weeks, I've done better. My kills and assists have gone up, my deaths down; KDR has improved to 1.08, and my score per match has improved. My winning percentage has also increased, so I now win more often than lose, and Destiny Tracker says my win ratio is now in the top third, and that's despite frequent Caterpillar disconnects. I hit more precision kills than ever. I even topped the scoreboard a few times. I went from being bad to being average. For someone who's usually bad at shooters and is playing far away from most hosts, I feel like that's decent.
My Combat Rating has dropped to 88.
What exactly is this thing based on? RNG?

1 ReplyI believe it compiles all your stats in this game. I think it takes into account K/D ratios, assists, revives, captures, medals, wins and losses, points. Things like that. This isn't fact but this is what I think it uses to derive a number. As far as your personal experiences with it going down after improving in those areas as you have claimed I don't know what to tell you there. Mine consistently goes up when I do the following things listed above. Again my idea is just speculation, I don't actually know for sure. Mine is currently at 178 which is fairly high I believe.

My combat rating is like 140, is that good?

Its not Random, I had mine increase as I improved on each of my characters so Im not sure why yours went down if you have been getting better unless they changed how its calculated.
