Pretty much all alternative rock sounds the same. In fact, country, pop, and rock are all pretty similar. They have different vocals styles and sometimes slightly different instrumentation, but they all use the same basic chord progressions and arrangements. I love that some people consider pop, rock, and country to be a decent variety when they really are all the same shit. Throw in some jazz, prog, fusion, bluegrass, folk, various classical orchestral music (Baroque, Renaissance, Classical, Romantic, 20th Century, opera), motown, raggae, funk, hip-hop, and some EDM... now you've got decent variety.
and it sounds like skillet and third day and several other bands that use that voice filter
just smoke for 10 years and then double your lay over with a slight echo and BAM you are Nickleback
I liked Seether for a change of pace, in the past, but I couldn't get into the newest album. The always reminded me like a bit more mellow version of Nirvana.
