Best place for a low level to kill hive ultras....
I have my new level 18 Warlock, and I can't for the life of me figure out where to go to kill 10 hive untras. The ones on earth are still to difficult at that level, I did a strike and a mission with a heroic modifier and managed to get three. For something I sually do in like 10 min is becoming frustrating....

7 RepliesMoon. In the starting area of patrol there will be a building ahead with a dome. Go through the dome and you will see an entrance to a hive temple with 2 hive ultra knights in front. Kill and repeat.

Go on the mission 'Sword of Crota' select the heroic modifier on the easiest level ( I think its 12). Once you enter the temple and walk down the stairs past the 3 knights there will be at least 3 and sometimes 4 hive major/ultra. 3 acolytes and one knight. Once you kill them hop off the edge and it resets them and respawns you right outside, takes me 5 minutes tops to do the bounty. Hope this helped!

Earth, right next to the spawn underground, if they are too difficult bring a rocket launcher.

3 Repliesthere are some hive in the tunnels on earth just as you spawn in. may have to leave and reload a few times.

3 RepliesOn earth at the beginning of patrol go a little left and straight. By the beacon there is a little hut where you can head down below the surface. There is 3 yellow bar hive enemies that spawn every 30 seconds. I get this bounty done in less than 3 minutes. I love this bounty just for that reason.

1 ReplyThe dark beyond mission or Earth ( A subway diwn the stairs theirs usually 3 of them that spawn but requires to kill enemies at top to spawn them)

What i do is sword of crota with heroic modifier. 2 times through and your done

Sword of crota mission with heroic modifier gives you the 4 knights, the wizard, and about 3 acolytes on the way.

Go to the cosmodom on earth and if you follow the ledge (left side when you first touch down) there will be a small building go down it there will be 3 ultras kill them return to the surface and kill what ever is near the building if not kinda Scout farther if not return to the building and kill more

If you're doing the bounty, it's Majors and Ultras, so anything with a yellow bar. You can complete the whole bounty from one run of the summoning pits. PSA: Majors are regular mobs with a title and yellow bar: Fallen = Reavers, Hive = Hallowed, Vex = Axis, and Cabal = Imperial Ultras have names: Sekrion, Nexus Mind Phogoth, the Untamed Xyor, the Unwed Atheon

Sword of Crota mission at level 20. Kill Banuk = 1 Kill 3 Hallowed Acolytes = 3 Kill 1 Hallowed Knight = 1 jump off the ledge and kill yourself repeat takes 5 minutes tops

Go back up, collect some helium, go back down, kill the knights, get the chest in the cave, back up etc. edit: ok, forgive me, someone else said the same thing. so, I second that.

11 RepliesEarth patrol. Turn left immediately and walk down the steps into what looks like a bunker. At the bottom of the steps turn right. There will be a room on your right which will spawn 3 hive ultras. Easiest bounty in existence as they spawn every 45 seconds or so.

If you do the sword of Croat mission on heroic after you get into the first darkness zone there will be 4 hive majors once you kill them jump off the ledge and do it over you will spawn right in front of some more majors

Majors or Ultras. Majors are the rare yellow ones that pop up in place of normal mobs. Ultras are the bosses. The yellows with the skull and crossbones. Run Summoning Pits Strike twice. You'll be done with that mission.

The moon, start up the Shrine of oryx mission with a heroic modifier on. You will kill about 9 hive ultras

Earth patrol theirs 3 lvl 18. Near the spawn and you just run back up the stairsv abd back down to the location and they will spawn again. Sometimes you'll have to run the longv way around yo get them to spawn.

Even if those hive are too dificult for you they aren't for the millions of other players that will be going to this location to kill them. I'd recomend hanging out there and piggy backing off people farming these guys. Just leave and re-enter if now one is there.

I usually do the Sword of Crota mission on the lowest heroic. When you enter the Hellmouth, there is that area with 4 ultra acolytes and a knight. Kill them and jump off the cliff. Rinse and repeat.

moon first area when heading down to the hive area from that dome building, they don't re-spawn that fast so you'll have to explore the 1st area for a bit before coming back with the ones on earth it would take some time but hit them at range and with everything you've got and it works out, it was just the knight i kept having trouble with and i was a lower level than you on the other hand you can check to see if anyone else is doing the same thing while on earth or ask around for some quick help, basically if you are there with another player helping out the kills count for you to
