I played DCUO on PS3 then switched to PS4. I'm not sure if it's a hardware issue or an engine issue, but the PS3 could not keep up. It kinda worked, but lag and delays were inevitable if you had a PS3 player with you.
I'm not a programmer or anything, but from my limited experience, it's better to keep them separate.

Edited by ZHX1138: 11/4/2014 11:01:02 PMI'm just referring to Co-op, not crucible. The lag issue shouldn't be too much of an issue in that mode. I've played DCUO and it's marvelous in my opinion for co-op between consoles, but I feel PVP is sort of messed up now. So having Cross-play would work but not for Crucible just Co-op, story, strike, raid stuff.

I'm referring to Co-Op too. Before I switched to PS4, I couldn't run the Amazon Fury content. Lag was so bad, team would be in a completely different zone before I knew they even left. Then after I switched, I could tell who was on PS3 cause we'd have to slow down and let them catch up.

Edited by ZHX1138: 11/4/2014 11:49:09 PMHmm. Interesting. I've played other games where it didn't matter. PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale was fine with Vita and PS3. Maybe it's just DCUO. I mean DCUO on PS3 has sort of always been buggy anyway. I mean the game crashes a lot on PS3. But the fact that it works and I pretty much have a blast with my PS4 friends (excluding you're experience) on DCUO doesn't mean Bungie can't get the concept to work better on Destiny. Tbh who cares if theres a bit of lag in Co-op it would only be cruddy if that they allowed it in Crucible! Now that would be evil.

Sure. Like I said, I'm not a programmer. Seems a lot of people complain about DCUOs engine as a major problem with it. If it can be pulled off and not slow everybody down, I don't have a problem with it.
