lag out of party, kick to title, then xbl disconnect in that order

im on the xbox 360 and since the last patch i cannot play destiny for more than 20 minutes on my console. my room mate can play just fine on his console that is on the same network. i can play just fine on HIS console but not mine. what happens is: everyone in my chat party starts to lag in and out of the chat party. then i get kicked to the title screen with the caterpillar, hawk and (on occasion) newt codes and then almost immediately get disconnected from xbox live. other times i just get told that i lost connection to partner services. i have tried opening ports to force an open NAT, manual/auto assigning ip addresses, both wired and wireless connections, and everything else the internet says. none of it has worked. i discovered that i cannot even be in a chat party with someone playing destiny or i get disconnected from xbl (i played minecraft for 3 hours and didnt have an issue but 5 minutes after my friend joined that was playing destiny i was getting disconnected). like i said, i can play just fine on my room mates console (which is on the same network and 5 feet from my console) but not mine. UPDATE: tried my room mates account on my console and he can play just fine. this leads to believe that it is not my console that is having issues but my account itself. UPDATE: didnt do a damn thing and i can play just fine now UPDATE: literally JUST started doing it again. this time caterpillar and cattle UPDATE: The problem continues to persist even more so now, continued caterpillar error codes. Please help.

  • My xbox doesn't connect wireless, so we've got it wired directly to our router/modem. this is my second day playing and both yesterday and today I've been getting caterpillar. There's nothing wrong with our router/modem, but I reset it yesterday and it was error free... Hope that little tip helped.

  • I'm having the exact same problem. I've tried every possible work around and nothing helps. My roomates can both play with no problems but i get disconnected constantly regardless of which xbox I'm on. It seems pretty apparent to me that this is a problem on Bungie's end and they don't care enough to try to fix it.

    • How the hell you get d/c 30 times in one day it's really annoying play for 10 mins then get kicked and it says it's my network connection when all my stuff is full bars and and pretty good download and upload speed I'm sick of this crap bungie you need to fix your shit asap I've dealt with it for long enough and so have the rest of the players stop worrying and the damn dlc and fix your servers.

      • Same thing happens to me. I deleted my profile, re-downloaded and it didn't fix a thing. I play in the same house as my boyfriend right next to him hard wired to the same exact router and I'm the only one that gets kicked off. Can't even play for 20 minutes. Same thing with the party too, I went to a different game, my friend was in my party and loaded destiny, signed in and i got kicked offline. SO -blam!-ING ANNOYING.

        • This is not just you, so don't worry. Same happens to me, but my boyfriend can play flawlessly. I'm getting sick of it. This wasn't happening until that last patch.
