Q: Would you like to see something like this?
Edit: a surprising 18% for "no". Anyone care to comment why not? We're talking about adding immersion to an otherwise empty encounter...
Edit: it's skippable too. Obviously don't need to see it more than once :D
Picture this: Atheon materializes and a short cutscene begins in game. The raid party is shown facing Atheon on the island, spaced out just like the crucible start up. Everyone looks awesome. Poised for battle...
Cue speech (use headphones or an awesome stereo only):

For those that have seen it. You'll get it. For those that haven't, enjoy one of the greatest video game villain monologues ever written.
Leviathan's is epic too. If you don't ever intend to play Mass Effect, pull up leviathans speech. Absolutely pee worthy.
Did this for fun, but I'd love introductions for all of the bosses in the game. Not saying they need to plagiarize Bioware, but this IS the epitome of character development.
The benchmark has been set.

Wouldn't mind it but I highly highly doubt VoG will ever be revisited by the dev team

1 ReplyI wouldn't mind a cutscene, but I don't see why there needs to be a monologue - I like the Vex better not communicating with us at all. It makes them feel for alien, more distant, and gives the sense that they see us as nothing more than another error in the code of the universe, fit for nothing else but extermination.

Cut scenes in dark souls look awesome at boss fights, I wouldn't mind skippable ones in Destiny

i would love skip able cut scenes at every boss fight if not for every boss but for every raid final boss

2 RepliesI find that the raid for Atheon has no part that has to do with story mode and this would make it actually have something to do with it. Like if you don't stop him he will make more of himself

1 ReplyDefinitely not a bad idea. One of the many things this game lacks are memorable, developed characters.

3 RepliesCan we skip it?
