What Players Really Want

So, people of the Bungie community, what is it that you truly want Bungie to do to improve Destiny? I for one, would like more cut scenes and a more detailed story...less grimoire related. A long with better public events...like The Last City being invaded by enemies of Humanity. I was also interested by the notifications they showed from the companion app which told you about new events/strikes/missions/raids. Yet I have not had any notifications from the app other than for forum posts and clan notifications.

    1. Class armor perks. What if you implemented a system in which your class armor provided you actual perks. I can only speak from the Hunter's perspective so bear with me. For example, your Hardcase clock lets you revive teammates faster. Your Legend of Six Coyotes cloak allows you to do 5% more damage on enemies when firing on the same target as your teammates (strength of the pack, yes?). Or you can directly tie perks to respective skills from the tree like the Lucky Raspberry/Arc bolt grenade. Maybe one of those deer hunter cloaks ties to the Stalker skill and lets you retain invisibility a little longer. The more functionality these items have, the deeper your audience can immerse themselves in customization and choice. Also, it might help the Warlocks come to terms with their armbands. 2. More Legendary Vanguard gear options. Specifically the leg gear. Equip Million Million and the Vanguard leg gear then ask yourself who wants to go save the universe in their mom jeans? Like many guardians, I am constantly sacrificing functionality and level for style. It's a choice I willingly make, but I think you've seen the need for visual sidegrades. Crucible gear has them. Vanguard needs them too! 3. Exotic armor bounties that have in-game exposition and culminate in a miniboss/boss battle with an enemy I have yet to encounter. How amazing would it have been to fight an actual symbiote for my exotic helm? Imagine what one would look like. A creepy tentacle monster that attacks from the ceiling. Or maybe its a vaguely humanoid shape with skin like cooling lava that attaches to your body and tries to suck out your brains! How would a player fight it? What kind of mechanics would be involved that ends with a helmet with the symbiote attached? Missed opportunity, right? 4. More cooperative elements. This could be in story missions or in Strikes. Let us team with roles outside of the Raid. 5. More branches on the maps. Let us go high. Let us go low. Let us stumble into a seemingly inescapable room only to find out that a (insert class special/grenade/melee) can open this door or crack open the floor. How is this path different than the other? 6. Vertical maps for PvP and PvE. Maybe inside one of the narrow towers on Venus or in those tall metal structures in the Cosmodrome. I'm talking about a 12 story narrow ledge jumping do I want to die from shotgun or try for the window to nowhere nightmare of a level. With gorgeous clouds and certain death everywhere. 7. Missions with environmental hazards. Dust storms on Mars that knock your map offline. Snow drifts that can fall on you. Acid rains on Venus. Or journey into the lava filled crags and have to hot potato yourself across a lake of blue fire.
