I might be missing some grimoire cards regarding the history of the Vex. I want to know more about them. Who created these killing machines?
The Forerunners? They created them to combat the flood but some shit happened and they slipped through some warp gate in the halo universe that made them go to a parallel universe and ended up in the world of Destiny. Obviously not but do you guys know about the vex and their creator?
Share your ideas and assumptions here! They are interesting to me for some reason.

We don't know how they were created but the reason they're in our reality is because Crota cut open a portal and brought them into our realm from... somewhere else.

7 RepliesLet's face it. Destiny is a shit game that doesn't explain jack shit. Gremoir cards (however the fk it's spelled) is a pathetic excuse for the lack of rich cinemtic story telling.

1 ReplyJust as a word of advice. Don't assume the forerunners created a malevolent force. They ascended the mantel of the Universe, sworn protectors of the galaxy. Also don't cross universes. It says on the box that Activision isn't affiliated with Halo. Legally speaking, they have and cannot have anything to do with each other.

I would tell you but I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain.
Is that getting old yet?
7 RepliesEdited by AnyOLName: 11/6/2014 5:39:46 PMMy whole theory is that we are in the nexus of a time paradox. That the Vex and the Traveler were creations of Rasputin. The darkness is time collapsing back upon it self. The Fallen/Hive/cabal are either races that are trying to stop it, part of a different time line, or trying to get the tech for their own use. The only reason it hasn't consumed the Earth, it the mere presence of the Traveler. Rasputin used the Tech of the Vex and copies it, to try and save humanity. This creates the first paradox. When Rasputin realizes that this is what happens(not sure when), he creates the traveler to stop his mistake(second Paradox). We are at a point in time that seems to be the make it or fail part of the time line that Rasputin is trying to save. So we have three Rasputins trying to out think it self. This is why the Vex simply didn't wipe out humanity even though they were on Venus "Billions" of year before man came to be..they need us to create them... The Stranger is a creation of one of the other Warminds and she is part of the 9. The 9 live in the future and are in a time line that was successful in preserving some sort of humanity. They are offering limited aid, through Xur and the stranger, until they know their future is guaranteed. The Next DLC we are going to kill Crota, in the past. "Crota sleeps beneath the Hellmouth", is his memorial. The Hive are using a ritual to awaken Crota, which is them trying to go back in time and prevent his defeat. When we go to stop them, we will be sent back to that battle that made Crota Sleep. The Speaker is also a creation of the 9, or possibly one of the Warminds that believe that restoring the travel is the correct path to the proper future. But is away of the paradox that we live in. The Awoken, specifically the Queen and her brother, are also aware of the Paradox. They are content with the status qua because they don't see a future that they exist in. So they are trying to maintain there exsistance as it is, so they are playing with many sides. That is why they are aligned with the Fallen(to some degree) and the 9. They can communicate with the 9, and see clouded visions of the future/past, because they are on the "Edge" of the light. These are my theories...

2 RepliesThe Vex were created by humans in another timeline , that's why they can't write us out of existence since they could destroy us and Earth years before we could do even a thing It's like the grandpa paradox , if you kill your own grandpa you are written out of existence. And this put to light their motives , be free from the rules of the universe , such as time , and write themselves inside the very constitution of the universe. That's what they are doing in the Vault of Glass.

The Grimoire for the Sol Progeny presents a theory that the Vex found the Black Garden's Heart and may have shaped themselves after it. We also know that the Vex are all controlled by a single Mind (do it would technically be appropriate to call the Vex by "it" rather than "they"). So it's possible that the Vex Mind found the Black Garden, and began to worship it and adopt its power to make the Vex constructs. This mind could possibly be a "demigod," if The Traveler and the Darkness are viewed as "True Gods."
