Should titans be able to shoot through their own bubble?
I play a lot with my buddy who's a titan. He often complains he can't shoot out of his bubble. I explain to him that it's a defensive build and also I think if titans could shoot through it, that would be a bit unbalanced. What does the community think? Vote!
Edit: I'm fairly surprised to see how many people think this should be allowed. Currently 44% voted yes.
Edit 2: I have the utmost respect for you defender Titans who can admit this would be a bad idea instead of blindly playing like a hotdog and wanting to just destroy everything easily in this game.

Edited by tex79: 11/3/2014 5:08:47 PMI think it's worthless in pvp when I see one with enemies in I run up and throw my grenade inside the enemy gets confused because they think their safe but don't realize the thing killing them is inside the bubble with them. Got 4 killc with one grenade that way

I would say yes except for how broken Weapons of Light would be. That's really the only reason I say no.

In PvE this would be awesome for sure. Make it so in PvE please!

4 RepliesShooting through the bubble seems a bit over powered, but I will say that I feel it needs some sort of buff. Recently I've been thinking that it should work like the Wizard's poison cloud, any enemies that enter the bubble would have reduced movement and take DoT. The mechanics are all ready there, it would be a simple change and could make WoD significantly more versatile.

In PvE why not. In PVP that probably wouldn't work very well.

I'd say yeah, I use Titan in pvp and feel myself honestly getting demolished by any other super. Blade dancer - run in and kill everything Gunslinger - shoot it twice to break it then shoot the guy inside FoH - do it inside and kill everyone Voidwalker - shoot it and kill the bubble and everyone inside Sunsinger - not as good but a two melees can kill the Titan inside the shield Though maybe this isn't the solution it is in need of a buff 100%

But for Christ's sake, it's pretty pathetic when a super that pretty much traps you can be beaten by half of the supers in this game. There's nothing I hate more than a striker FoHing me and completely disregarding the Armor of Light. The shield should be indestructible. You know, like how the description on the shield says that it's indestructible.

3 RepliesKills while weapons of light or blessing of light are buffing you should make orbs. Only the person who actually used the super would create the orbs. It would make it so you don't just shit out two orbs and get no kills.

Yes, but only if you can get shot back at, i.e. it would have to a spec option for your build to have a "shoot through" bubble. This way if you're in it, you pretty much would need armor of light to survive the onslaught. If you're not in it you would cast it in a corridor or hallway, and with Helm of Saint 14's perk use it to blind the fairy dancers and shoot them through it.

I'd personally like to see a "wall" ability that you can shoot through, but enemies can go around. Maybe a huge aoe "flash bang" that reduces accuracy of mobs and they can't see you for the duration of the super.

I play Defender probably 95% of the time, and I don't think we should be able to shoot out. PvE, pop Weapons of Light, hop in the bubble, hop out, and tear shit up. PvP, pop Armor of Light, and beat the bag out of the 9 people who try to come into it.

Yes but only one element. If you use a different one after the first shot through it, it instantly disappears.

I'm a titan. Plenty of hours as a titan. And I say no. Because in PvP you could wreck and it'd be entirely unfair. I sit there in my shield while I have weapons of light. Not only can you not damage me, but I do more damage than normal... In PvE, go for it.

I absolutely think not. That would be ridiculously overpowered for even PvE. If you can attack out of it then it becomes un-speakable in PvP... I'm a defender as my main, but that would be unbalanced for just about everything in the game.

1 Replyim havent played as the titan, but i do think you should be able to shoot out of it and who ever is inside can shoot one another.
