Should titans be able to shoot through their own bubble?
I play a lot with my buddy who's a titan. He often complains he can't shoot out of his bubble. I explain to him that it's a defensive build and also I think if titans could shoot through it, that would be a bit unbalanced. What does the community think? Vote!
Edit: I'm fairly surprised to see how many people think this should be allowed. Currently 44% voted yes.
Edit 2: I have the utmost respect for you defender Titans who can admit this would be a bad idea instead of blindly playing like a hotdog and wanting to just destroy everything easily in this game.

In PVE yes. With extra space magic and Godzilla fire shooting out of his metal butt. That would be fine.

They have the short stick and I do hate it when warlocks blink and insta super from range, hunters one shot me with their supers and I have to attempt to get close to use mine. Stupid class for pvp. Tell me how many hunters you see in pvp compared to titans. Also why are titans the only ones to have a stupid defence skill. I die more times in my dumb bubble than I kill people. I can't wipe a team with my bubble because supers one shot it and I still have to use a gun. People can kill you easily inside of it. It's just a dumb pvp skill and pretty useless.

i dont think it would make a difference only in pve because in pvp warlock sunsingers and hunters are just op and titans are not that good

1 ReplyThose 44% are titans. This would make it WAY too OP in PvP. So simply because PvP would be thrown out of "balance" it will never happen. Only way I see this ever happening is if incoming damage is allowed (at least 50% incoming) to make it PvP viable but this ruins it in PvE as well.

As much as I would like to be able to shoot out my bubble, it would also destroy my game and make bosses and general gameplay to easy and make me very lazy. I run the weekly challenges with a friend who is also a defender titan and we would end up camping taking it in turns to pop up our shields and shoot from a comfortable position with no chance of failing. I'm sorry but that's not fun gameplay.

For PVE yes! For PVP no. Although it would be awesome.

I voted yea but I dont think it should just be allowed all the time. IMHO weapons of light should allow gunfire to travel through the bubble. That way players have to pass thru it at least once to get the ability, and it doesn't last that long. That would balance it out so its not OP.

I think rather than extra damage, weapons of light should allow you and teammates to shoot out of the bubble.

Only thing I think should be able to shoot out of it is armor penetration bullets :)

2 RepliesI main Defender, and the Bubble feels like it was made for the Helm of Saint-14 http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Helm_of_Saint-14 By blinding enemies who enter it in PvE it allows you to survive otherwise insurmountable groups of enemies alone. With this equipped, being able to shoot through the shield would be overpowered. But without it, the Bubble is a bit under powered

It would be awesome in PvE but in PVP that would be sorely unbalanced. Unfortunately there is no way to do both. Well, there is, but bungie doesn't give a rats ass about PvE.

Shooting out of a Titan bubble would be vastly unbalanced. Unless we could also shoot into it. But then there may as well not even be a bubble there in the first place.

29 defender titan here and i believe that if you wanted to shoot thru your bubble you can walk up to the barrier to where the barrel of your weapon is just outside the bubble whilst your body can stay safely inside. Works for me.... and i think it would be very OP and unfair if you could just sit inside your bubble and shoot out

Just for PvE though and make it an ability that makes the bubble last half as long if that's the case. Would love it as an option for my Titan :D Titan love forever <3

In PvE however it would be very interesting but still OP because of how long the bubble lasts and how fast you can get it back, you could basically do any boss fight easily without really being outside of your bubble ._.

2 RepliesComing from a titan that almost exclusively plays defender, I can easily say that being able to shoot through it would easily make it the best super in the game and overpowered. Defender is currently slightly underpowered at the moment (something that I like because it makes it challenging to use) and the only buff I could suggest for it is that if you get nova bombed when your inside your shield you don't die. Because 70-30% of the time I die when inside and I think that shouldn't happen.

2 RepliesAre you insane? Umm NO! This would essentially allow Titans to be invulnerable and shoot you. And then even if you try to invade the bubble, they will blind/destroy you. And I don't even want to imagine control. To balance the other classes to this ridiculous buff, they'll have to get ridiculous as well! Hunter: golden gun has homing shots. Arc blade has double movement speed and attack speed. Warlock: Sunsinger releases an AOE explosion when they self revive. Voidwalker shoots their mulitple nova bombs in all directions, including where they are aiming. And just for good measure, the striker would be able to chain a second jump and explosion immediately after the first. Nope nope nope.
