I'll support any method that can help me get to do any of the weekly strikes or a raid. I still haven't had a chance to actually complete the VoG yet, and have only done one weekly strike. Its kind of frustrating to be honest.

  • I used the online sites once. Not too bad, but it's still a pain. Once guy had published LFG VoG and I messaged him my basics. Level, class, subclass, "experienced." I was then asked "how much" experience I had and what equipment I was using and how leveled it was... Such a drawn out screening. I almost gave up, but I got in and we did the whole raid. Funny thing was it was a pushing group. They all wound up being cool, but why the hell so uptight if you're not even fighting the bosses? If you cheese both bosses then the only challenge left is opening the vault and the few waves prior to the Templar... It was also a normal mode run, so being that aggressive on recruitment is like doing a full background check on the guy you hire to take out the trash at the city fair. It's overkill, like this reply... Just silly. :/

  • The VoG is serious business son. Apparently that's why I've only been able to find a group to attempt it with once. I can't pass the vetting process.

  • It's not that serious. Stand here, kill praetorians... Enter. Kill mobs, kill oracles and mobs, kill boss with relic. Relic explanation takes all of 10 seconds to get the hang of. Kill boss... Enter gorgon maze. 30 sec run to exit playing follow the leader. Jump puzzle. 30 seconds playing follow the leader as warlocks or just do it the long way. Nailed it my first try and every time after that. Kill gatekeeper... Ok the last part isn't hard by by far it's the "hardest" part. I won't elaborate here but seriously. I'll never understand online gaming communities. Good luck though. I've built a pretty decent sized friends list without using the online tools. I just invite and chat with people that are playing well during strikes and patrols. Rarely any young kids. Just gotta be social a bit and it will come together.
