Lootcave Solution

Tired of trying to do patrol missions/bounty's quickly but finding a lot of patrol areas are being camped by "lootcavers". i have a solution. The public areas in patrols and missions (non-instanced areas) should not have any chance of an engram drop. People are just going to keep abusing this system, no matter how many enemies you take out/change respawn times/whatever you do. Also by doing this you can add more enemies as well making the environment more "battleground" feeling and less systematic. Been sitting in caves for hours trolling these people. If any trolls get bored, these guys don't give up on their cave.

    • The best loot cave is in the raid. You don't even have to officially start the raid either. A few players want to get together for a loot cave run? That's where they should go. It's not a public area so they won't be interfering with other players.

    • People still camp areas for loot. Even after they patch a fix for a certain cave people are still stupid enough to camp the same spot or move on to some other area. it can be done with basicly every cave, and its brutally annoying. If you oppsed to this idea, you either are an exploiter yourself, or you dont trully see the purpose behind my post. So ill explain one more time.... BY REMOVING ENGRAM DROPS (DIDNT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT CHESTS) IN NON-INSTANCED AREAS BUNGIE CAN ADD MORE ENEMIES TO THESE AREAS, RATHER THEN LIMITING THEM FURTHER. If you still have issues with this, you should try playing the game to realize that strikes, crucible, and loot chests are more efficient.

Bungie has been working to proactively [or reactively some may argue] solve this problem, and for the most problem they really have fixed it. Farming is extremely pointless now, and compared to running tiger strikes or any higher strike playlists, you earn engrams MUCH faster than you ever would shooting into a cave. I understand and completely agree that seeing halfminded people shoot into a cave for free 'L00tZ' is extremely visually breaking and takes away from the experience, But i personally believe the idea of farming will eventually weed itself out of existence since other options are much more profitable.

      • this is a terrible idea, there are other ways to get engrams on patrols such as chests, Public Events, and Actually going around doing things not just sitting in a spot shooting into a cave. Just keep nerfing the loot caves if they dont want people using them, no point Nerfing the rest of us too
