Exclusives are a problem with the industry not just bungie. Just imagine if it was a movie and if you went and saw it at an Imax theater you got an extra half hour of the movie. No other industry would tolerate exclusives and I think the game industry shouldn't either. Now I do believe there can be Xbox exlusives and ps exclusives. I'm talking about timed exclusives like bungies stuff.

I knew all of this months even before the Beta. I bought a ps3 for free online play. I could care less for a tiny bit more content.

2 RepliesI remember back in 2008 when fallout 3 was released and PS3 owners were told to go pound sand when they asked about getting the DLC, it took over a year and we had to buy the game a second time (goty edition) to get the first 3 DLC packs.

The issue I have is that it is one YEAR away when, and let's be really honest here, probably like 80% of players have done all the story missions and maps like 5 times over now. I still enjoy the game, a lot, but I could use a little more content here soon.

People continuously attack bungie for this yet it has nothing to do with them. Sony paid for these exclusives. If you are that enraged you should be attacking Microsoft for not ponying up the cash.

I don't remember XBOX players speaking up anytime in the last 5 or 6 years when Microsoft paid for exclusives or outright bought companies to make sure their games would be exclusive. Microsoft made the XBOX franchise a success by making the practice of buying exclusives and industry standard. Sony, Nintendo and Sega are hardly blameless either, but Microsoft is by far the largest culprit here.

that's not as bad as xbox getting exclusive content for the division. not timed exclusive, straight up exclusive content for retail and dlc.
