Why are xbone players mad?
Pretty sure Xbox players got COD DLC before Sony players did...

1 ReplyIt's not about who gets what first it's about PlayStation getting another strike in dlc. That's two new Sony exclusive strikes and potential story that isn't coming to Xbox one not delayed NOT Coming. So why should we pay same price for less content?

Look at the time frame. Most CoD and Battlefield DLC was a couple weeks to a month ahead of PS players. The initial exclusive strike by it self can be withheld for up to and maybe even exceeding a year. I know everyone wants their exclusives which I hate them cause idc about console wars BUT some games die after a year or have a new release so when the game dies then they may release the DLC to us that didn't cost anything extra to PS players. I firmly believe the only exclusives should be studio exclusives aka if it wasn't made by Microsoft or Sonys studio then a console shouldn't be able to own them. I hate Activision but at least in the end everyone gets to play the game.

Exclusive stuff is always a shit decision from the industry. But instead of standing up as a player community against the industry to change this behaviour the majority seems join this non sense. Kids or narrow minded people can post their "it sux tu play on(insert console name)" threads. And the industry makes some extra money because some people buy both consoles etc. I play on ps4 still i dont enjoy content more just because other consoles dont have access to it.

6 RepliesI became disinterested in COD years ago, basically since the developers stopped trying and just released the same game over and over again. I just think its cheeky, a company like bungie who, despite what people might say about this, owe a hell of a lot to Microsoft. Bungie would not be where they are today if MS did not buy them and pour hundreds of millions of dollars into them to make the halo games.

Would you be alright if destiny released the exclusive stuff to Xbox and made PlayStation wait a year to play it instead of a month? Pretty sure if it was the other way around the PlayStation crowd would be upset. I would have been upset either way because timid exclusives is a stupid idea solely based on getting a big profit on the platform its giving the exclusive too. I don't see how they expect to build customer's trust in their product by playing favorites. Its stupid for COD, and its stupid for Destiny. plus a whole year? that's a big gamble to assume their game will keep the Xbox's side's interest for that long. I'm a little upset. I did already buy the pass when I got the game. That's money I worked for, and with that money I get less because I don't want to waste money to buy a PlayStation as I've made my friends on the Xbox and my friends had bought an Xbox back during the Halo 3 days and decided to keep with that platform because we liked shooters, which during that time the Xbox was the console for that. I just don't understand how some people on the PlayStation side think this is fair to the whole consumer base. Just hope this thing doesn't blow up to the point where half a game can only be played on one console but not the other in the future, since people seem to think its ok to let businesses do these things instead of calling them out for such crap. For now I'll have to express my distaste of such a decision and move on.

14 RepliesThis is the Destiny forums. CoD has nothing to do with Destiny. Xbox players are mad because Xbox players are getting shafted on content and events, which is already minimal for everyone. Not everyone that plays destiny is a CoD veteran. Many of us come from MMO games and wouldn't touch CoD if they paid us to do so.

Because we get less content for the same price. It is not because the content is late. It is because by the second week of December, PlayStation owners will have eight strikes while Xbox players only have six, however xbox players are still being charged the same amount for less content.

Because we get one less strike. It's so insignificant I can't even. Everyone gets the raid and the raid gear. Honestly i think it's a principle thing, but still, it's rediculous. I will buy the DLC, enjoy it, complain about raid RNG, teach noobs, get frustrated with noobs, and then repeat for the next DLC. It's going to be a good time.

3 RepliesAll of this Xbox vs PS stuff is dumb... reminds me of old-school schoolyard arguments about Nintendo vs Sega. Dumb then, dumb now. (I owned both a 360 and PS3, liked both a lot. Currently have an Xbone and am really looking forward to picking up a PS4 to play Infamous and other games.) Everyone gets screwed by this exclusive stuff. If you only own one system, you will get screwed 50% of the time. Which 50% doesn't matter. XB and PS owners shouldn't turn on each other.

Xbox players get CoD DLC for a month...this is a year's worth of exclusivity. And they're asking us to pay the same amount for less content - something CoD has never done. And it's not just a little extra content in the scheme of things, it works out to 15-20% LESS content (because the DLC is already light to begin with) for the same price?!

Because the CoD DLC was exclusive for a month. The Destiny DLC is exclusive for almost a year.
