So this article mentions that Sony consoles will get an additional strike while XBOX consoles will not. Yet the owners of both will have to pay the same price. Am I missing some information here? Or is there just some trickle down bias for Playstation?

Edited by Spawn: 10/29/2014 4:31:05 PMSome clarification: In February 2013, it was announced that Sony and Bungie/Activision are in a long term partnership for their new project Destiny. This has been known for nearly two years, and this is part of that partnership agreement - which is also why there was a public Destiny Alpha, exclusive for PlayStation Gamers, and the Beta was on PlayStation before Xbox, not to mention the preorder timed exclusives available first on PlayStation. For the article you're referring to, this is another branch of that agreement. Again, this was announced back in February of 2013, this is just following suit. You can view the video I linked above if you want to watch it yourself.
WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH OUR HANDS!
That's Microsoft for ya. I'm sure y'all will get the same stuff later on. They probably can't design it on your platform. Microsoft is cheap like that. This is why I love Sony. Never had an issue with them.
-
Because Sony gets the exclusives for once. Xbox always gets the CoD exclusives. What's wrong with it going the other way? They could have the entire DLC become a timed exclusive. At least you have access to it.
-
It just doesn't compute to think that you want to sell me 60% of the content for 100% of the price. That is why I ask if I am missing something like XBOX will receive the content on a later "update" or something of that nature.
-
Playstation users already have access to another strike that we, as Xbox users don't get. This will give Playstation 8 strikes to Xbox's 6 strikes when released. Playstation already has other exclusive content in the form of another multiplayer map, weapons and gear.
-
I'm assuming Sony paid for the content to be exclusive. There are a handful of games across all platforms that have exclusive content, games, etc. and sell for the same price. So Destiny doing this is not against the norm, but it's a marketing strategy to sway potential console buyers to one platform or another.

No interest either way, I've a PS4 but I'll not be getting it. Not till they offer it for a fiver on sale. $19.99 = £19.99 am I missing something? Shouldn't that be £12 or so with exchange rates or am I wrong?

Blame Microsoft not bungie
-
Yeah it's absolute bullshit. However I won't be buying a ps4 I already have an Xbox one and would have bought Xbox regardless.

This game received bonus content at launch for sony users, its not that suprising that they get bonus dlc content. As a ps user I would rather all content be offered equally but this is Bungies call to make.
