I have a level 29 hunter and am loving it, but I feel like when I do strikes and the raid with my friends I don't seem to be able to do much ( I'm a gunslinger). I can clear rooms and all with my sharpshooting abilities but for boss fights I can't seem to do much. Does anyone know of a way I can fix this problem, with a class setup?

Not really. .. but some players overcome that.

Hunters would be useful for the raid, except invisibility is useless. What's the point? 30 sec revive countdown on easy. And NO REVIVES on hard. Thats why hunter is useless for raid. For nightfall, it works great.

1 ReplyHunters are the best revivers in pve. Utilize that invisibility and agility to avoid enemies and save your allies with stealth. ^.^ idk about gunslinger, though. But it does drop a lot of orbs from its super.

The tools don't wield the man the man wields the tools. When it comes to defeating AI, classes are negligible. Situational utilization of available skills and tools defines ability, adjust accordingly.

I think the question isnt which class is more viable, its the player behind the class thats more importantly viable to act in tight situations or in encounters. Putting a crap player who is bad at acting prompty to different situations behind the best class doesn't make that class op does it? Id much rather have a experienced player who is situational that adapts on the fly behind the worst class on my hardmode group. Because at the end of the raid what really matters is you being your best and getting throught it together as a team rather then oh his grenades and special is what carried us to victory. And that being said, I think hunters are just as good as any other class, not because I have 3 but because I enjoy my class as does others enjoys their warlock, titans etc.

Hunters a good PvE, their supers aren't the best for it though.

All of the classes are made to be used together anyway. That's why if you have a fire team of one of each class you will be able to tackle more challenging things, with the titan to provide a place to gain Heath and reload and a warlock to clear bosses hunters are good all around. They can crush in pvp and help for the smaller things in most missions

4 RepliesHunters are good for PvP. Warlocks are good for PvE. And Titans are in between. #WarlockMasterRace

2 RepliesEdited by Deathray: 10/29/2014 3:10:48 AMThe double buffs are good for you so that you can eliminate mobs fast. Combustion for golden gun is the ideal pve ability so that you can clear those big waves of mobs. Precision kill with throwing knife refresh is just fun. Triple jump is great for parkour. At high level strikes and the raid, no one uses their super for the boss. Supers should be used on mobs so that you can generate more orbs for your team to use their super to generate more orbs and so on and so forth. It helps you get rid of adds like lightning.

13 Repliesgoes Warlock ---> Titan ---> Huntard. pretty useless in pve until that last subclass is out.

Hunters have the least amount of utility moves, and for the most part you should be supporting your team by killing things faster than them. They are FAR from useless, a skilled Hunter will be far more useful than a warlock (no one is more useful than a Titan though, damn flashbangs) NEVER use golden gun on the bosses, it's damage isn't worth it when any good sniper rifle will do double what it can do. What it is good at doing is destroying adds that spawn quickly. Gunslinger should be used for everything other than the nightfall, blade dancer just doesn't have a place in PVE (other than as a Rez monkey). You should be able to check my Hunter build out for both gunslinger and blade dancer. VOG Outside/Spire: Save your super for the praetorian, it'll burn them in one go, and give you time to cover the other sides Confluxes: Destroy Minotaurs, stop sacrifices, save teammates from fanatics, destroy shielded hobgoblin's. Destroy all spawning fanatics in the middle. Oracles: Destroy oracles, destroy hobgoblin's, destroy Minotaurs. Templar: Oracles, the odd Minotaur, get teammates out of their bubble quickly Gatekeeper: 3 rockets, 3-4 golden guns, oh look you solo'd a gatekeeper. Atheon: Mars side? No more hobgoblin's, shield bearer doesn't have to worry. Venus Side? No more praetorian, shield bearer doesn't have to worry.

We need something more than what they gave us... LIKE A PRIMARY SNIPER RIFLE WITH MORE THAN 20 rounds.

Know your weapon selection. What weapon goes with what shield. After so many repetitive runs, you know what you need. You get better as you go. One more tip, Don't die, then your mates have to revive you. Good luck and good hunting.

Hunter is very useful in my opinion. Just did the nightfall mission and the ability to go invisible and revive my teammates with axis minotards sitting right on top of them is awesome. Did the same in the archon priest knightfall.
