I'm going to try re-posting this differently.
How many purple drops do you walk away with, in a 2 week period? [Do not include what you get as reputation or match rewards].
In two weeks period of incessant gaming, I have had zero. Looking at a period of two months...two! I am no average gamer when it comes to Destiny. I play about 4 hours a day, after work and all weekend long. I have, probably, 8 days of in-game time...probably more, by now.
The legendary items that drop are no different than what each faction already sells, so why are these things super rare? And why can you get Raid/ exotic gear faster? That's just messed up. Is there something special about Legendary gear I am unaware of? I don't even need Legendary class gear anymore because I have raid gear, now. I completely skipped relying on gear drops and jumped straight to buying it from vendors and that's how I really got my start...so, there really is no point to gear drops at all. Just have shards/ energy drops because everyone is going to get their gear in a more "reliable fashion."

I've got 2 since the patch, but i've got a total of 4 legendary items from rare engrams. Unfortunately all were Fusion Rifles, and I already had a legendary Fusion Rifle, plus I hate Fusion Rifles lol. But i'm ok with it. Other than the thrill of getting a purple engram, the store stuff is just as good. The only possible plus from engrams is a chance at different stats and element types, which can be a blessing or a curse.

I have over 11 days played now I believe. I've managed to receive only six legendary engrams in that time. Four of which were pre-patch, three of those four turned into blues. It's all random I suppose. I have a buddy who has a day or two more playtime than me, and he seems to get lucky constantly. He's managed to obtain every VoG weapon 2-5 times, has 3 full sets of raid gear - with different stats, manages to receive legendary engrams daily, almost always gets an exotic from Nightfall and he is a much worse players than the majority of the people I play with to boot. I'll come right out and say it, I usually see the worse players getting the better drops. Whether it's PvE or PvP. At least in my experience anyways.

about three to five

I, strangely, and I'm not joking got a green engram to drop from an enemy Not sure what happened, but I 100% swear to god it changed to a purple. Because I never picked up the green
-
I use to get them every other day but since the patch to get rid of the randomness I have gotten 3, the first 2 gave me powers and the third was worthless armor and became shards.
-
I had two today and a blue went legendary : )

1 ReplyIn a two week period... Probably get one legendary Engram drop . I did get one about an hour ago on the daily heroic story which turned into the handgun "the Devil you know ".
-
I've gotten two in the past two weeks, both were heavy weapon ones and I got ascendant shards in one and a rocket launcher I already had
-
I got two today lol

since they patched the cryptarch I have only had 2 purples (both weapons). in the last two weeks I have had 0 purple engrams and I have been playing everyday (girlfriend is away so I gotta get my time in hahaha). I also have over 8 days total in-game time. I'm not complaining since I think it was way to easy to get purple before that patch. but a tiny increase in drop rate would be nice. within the first week I had full purple gear and lots of purple weapons. I think it should be left the way it is to be honest and add a very very small increase in drop rate. if they remove purple engrams and you have to rely on doing 11 strikes to buy one piece of purple armor, it would take almost 4 weeks to get a full set seeing as the cap on marks is 100 per week. it could also be way longer for someone who only gets to play a few hours per week. atleast now you have an extra chance to get something purple from a drop. as for raid gear, that was easy as cake. did 2 raids and had gloves, chest & boots which got me to 30.

1 in the last two weeks, maybe 10 to 15 total since game release. I'm not that lucky with drops.
-
None but I've had a blue turn purple a couple of times. Literally two times I think.
-
i got 5 legendaries from blues today
-
Maybe one or two. I dunno. Haven't seen one drop in a long time, but I have gotten them as rewards.
-
I dunno, cause I don't obsess about loot.

Will try to watch for it. Guess it was zip.

Edited by XMalakhX: 10/28/2014 7:53:02 PMI think I have seen 1 if that in the past two weeks. Some of it is me because I haven't done too too many vanguard tigers since then and when I do, the randoms I go with run through. I know that if you just run through you'll never see them. Just take it slow and kill everything is the way it works.
