Summary
This update makes Destiny a more stable experience for all players. We’re also changing the player experience in the Raid to ensure that the activity provides an endgame challenge that meets project goals for the intended level of difficulty.
General
Fixed an issue in which multiple errors reported with Zebra error codes
Errors previously reporting as Zebra will now display as their own separate codes
Fixed a rare issue related to being Kicked To Login repeatedly
Fixed a rare issue that resulted in a Kick To Orbit reported with the Cockatoo error code
Servers
Fixed an issue where some players would occasionally be erroneously kicked at the beginning of an activity due to a server error
Increased protection against account corruption
Raid
Fixed an issue where Atheon was not choosing random targets for teleport through the timestream during the final encounter on the Vault of Glass
Fixed an exploit where Atheon could be forced off his platform
More updates are to follow as we continue to support Destiny. Future enhancements being worked on include Exotic Weapon tuning, new features for voice communication between matchmade teammates, and the ability to hold more Bounties in your pocket at any time.

1 ReplyI have a love/hate relationship with the vault. Id love to get some of the stuff there (helmet and grips, those looks sassy), I hate how hard it can be at most times and how utterly unrewarding it can be when you succeed sometimes. So I get why people - and myself - liked the push exploit. Tease with people enough; theyll get around the backdoor not totally legit. It's supposed to be hard, but ... man, it's tough in the worst circumstances. Im affraid the raids will scale up by +2 lightlevels with each DLC release, and since the rewards are so random some wont be able to play past say the third expansion. That would'nt be enjoyable. Not saying exploit is allright, just that the difficulty and rewards is (was) tempting to do so. Grinding should be more rewarding, playing legit and advancing and getting nothing. Im all for legit, but Im in it for the loot. Would be cool if there were more different armor sets that you could get in more ways. 'Become legend' now more seem to me like 'Become Kabr' y'know.

2 RepliesI have a feeling I'm with a minority here but I think that makeing it random is a plus. I have only done vog once on normal and I enjoyed it. But every time the teleport team got messed up it was a fail. It took us 7 hours because we had people that couldn't hold their own and had to be carried. This random update requires more teamwork and more skill. No more carrying players. I like that. I personally don't care if bungie says it was a bug or that they changed their minds

7 RepliesThis patch is about to ruin so many friendships. Hahahaha. Teleport 3 randoms and create mass chaos. Goooood call.

Edited by Sharc Blazer909: 10/29/2014 5:58:41 AMAaaaaaaaaalright! So! This patch goes live, and ruins the raid! Fun! I used to actually enjoy the sniper platforms, they were a viable strategy. But then you got mad that people were "Abusing" - (Strategizing) these locations, so you added death barriers, that is understandable, as you were mostly invincible there. And the "Baby Bumpers" placed around the edges so your retarded, underthought AI wouldn't kill itself when it walked too close to an edge, is also understandable. But. And I mean But. When you decided that you didn't want us beating your pathetic excuse for a boss (Giant version of an impact grenade spamming bipedal 'Metal Gear') with a strategy we worked out and practiced on, that we weren't doing it your way, so you make it nigh impossible, save for no lifers (Such as myself), You shit on every player, and every consumer who has purchased this game. We want to enjoy the game, we want to experience it in our own way, we want to explore, to find, to fall, to discover. We don't want to be dictated on our path by you, even though you made this game, we want to be able to chart our own path... Isn't that what you wanted in the first place? For players to be able to experience things their own way? Or, did you want us to be restricted to a linear path? Because if you wanted linear, you should have made Destiny a rail shooter.

Idk if it's the servers or what but since this patch there is a ridiculous amount of lag in pvp

6 RepliesNot a fan of the randomized teleports; there was nothing wrong with this part of Atheon in the first place. The Atheon bumpers I can somewhat understand, but holy eff...I've never seen a game being micromanaged so hard by developers. We literally can't play this game with our own strategies, can we? It has to be the "right" way that Bungie envisioned. Let the players play and enjoy the game however they want to in the raid, weekly, nightfall, etc. On a side note, Bungie: Please focus on buffing weapons (i.e., Bad Juju and Thorn), opening up more bounty slots, and adding a SKIP CUTSCENE option during campaign! This is one of the main reasons why I'm dragging my feet in starting new characters, and I feel that it's such an easy fix too. Just my two cents.

Lol some fix! I wasn't getting kicked before but now I am! Every single time I join a strike. Bungie, you really aren't doing a good job so far. With annoyance, Someone who paid money for your game and expected better.

YAY MORE RNG!

4 RepliesSo i get pushed out of the map if a boss step on me and i didnt die and when i throw rpg and bombs the bosses will stay still like a tanks ? Am i being fooled or what ? Wtf with these rules lol . Well im done i guess . Have fun fooling the kids .

I don't know what they did in term of server fixes but now my wife is disconnecting every 5-10 minutes and getting a Monkey code, we run the same exact internet I almost never get kicked but now we can't even play the game together
-
Bungie is just being lazy as -blam!-. Instead of adding new mechanics to the Templar, they simply just nerfed the sniper towers. Why not make it to where the templar can just teleport you back to the middle if he can't see you or make him do some kinda wave attack? Instead they spend 4 minutes and nerf players options. Now they are doing it with Atheon. Never seen a game try so hard to tell their customers-NO THATS NOT HOW YOU DO IT.

I'm glad to see they fixed that bug where I could actually stay connected to the servers. For those of you who have played the game, I'm sure I don't have to tell you how annoying it is to try a mission and stay connected long enough to complete it. No more! But, maybe this update isn't the cause of this. Maybe it actually is my internet, like the message says whenever I get the opportunity to replay the same five minutes of a mission over and over. After all, my 50/50 Fios is pretty spotty, coming all the way from the next room. And Verizon did also put out an update today. Crazy coincidence, right? For those unfamiliar with sarcasm or just skimming for key words, here's the gist: Update suck. Game unplayable. Me pissed.

Ok, this reply is what happened after I realized my first one sounded too angry. Bear with me. I am quite unhappy that they broke the game attempting to remove a player raid strategy. I do not like this patch. Nor did I like the last one. I doubt I will like the next one. Don't break your game. Don't break the guns. Stop telling customers how to play your game. Then I will be happier.

3 RepliesEdited by Stenbox: 10/29/2014 1:47:46 PMSo, Templar jumping off is not fixed yet?
-
Edited by NeoZephyr: 10/29/2014 1:52:57 PMI really...really...really don't like that now the outside team in the Atheon fight is detained when the second 3 people are warped through to get the relic - every time. If supplicants are nearby as you're trying to break the detain, you're screwed.
-
more stable?
Future enhancements being worked on include Exotic Weapon tuning, new features for voice communication between matchmade teammates, and the ability to hold more Bounties in your pocket at any time.
This is the only part that I give a **** about. I think I am the only person I know that has never had connection problems. I have played daily since release and have only been kicked to orbit, maybe, 3 times.

"Fixed an issue where Atheon was not choosing 3 random people to teleport...." Really bungie? Do you not have f-uckin play testers for your endgame content? Unbelievable.....
-
More incentive to teach players all aspects of the raid. Less cheesing. +1.
-
I don't even know why we have to do this roundabout bullshit with Bungie. They already know our feelings about the hotfix. It's -blam!-ing absurd that they even bothered to ask again. Like, what the -blam!-? "Hey, we heard you and don't care, but please give us some more feedback, because we definitely won't ignore it this time!" Ok.... What the -blam!- is wrong with this company?
-
You guys have time to do all this including power down weapons so why can't you power up weapons that you said you'll do before anything else? Just seems odd
-
Well if bungie wants to keep a loyal fan base, then they need to tear away from activision. Bungie has always been about good stories and great gameplay. But with a company like them always looking I've their shoulders, it's no wonder the game is flip flopping back and forth with its fan base

The zebra of Crota was once used to slay thousands of Guardians now its the monkey #sorrynotsorry
