Disappointed about this new update. I, like many other players, have put a lot of time and effort into obtaining Level 30 gear/characters... Completing Hard Raid, after Hard Raid. Now people will be able to bypass the Raid and just play PvP to make it to where I am? Ridiculous Bungie.

Rng=earner post again... original.

1 ReplyI agree

This must be the 100th post I've seen about someone discussing this "IB gear is worse than raid gear" topic... For the record, I don't even want raid gear. I think its ugly. I'm waiting for the dark below to come out, the raid stuff in that looks so much better - no more diarrhoea-coloured weapons or ships.

You are playing for the wrong reasons. You're not special. It's not that much work to get to 32. Why should I raid to be 32 if I hate all the gear? I shouldn't. I've dismantled everything I've gotten besides the hunter helm and boots. I want the warlock helmet as well- after that I really don't care about the raid gear. It's ugly AF. The game isn't about getting to 32 its supposed to be about having fun. People who played iron banner probably put in like 10+ hours to get rank five. Is that not enough work? That's enough to raid 7ish times, which is more than enough to get a 32. They did the same amount of "work" as you. You're not special. The game isn't about 32. It's about fun. Get real

Not ridiculous. You are a legend either way. In both cases, you have to prove that you are a survivor.
-
2 RepliesGood! I have two 30s and I can't stand the Hunter raid helmet style.
-
How about we make it so that you can only get to level 35 by PvPing? How would you feel about that? Some people don't like raiding and some don't like to PvP. Some people like both. There should be ways to max out for regardless of your preference. That said, PvP gear should give perks relevant to PvP and not help in doing raids.

2 RepliesSo fed up of elitist douchebags. They are only going to be providing 30 gear for 2(?) slots. How many hours do you think people put in to grind up their iron banner rep? They have to complete silly bounties and grind PvP. Even the noobs who suck have to spend numerous hours stuck in the instance to get it. Which is their time spent enjoying the game they payed for. Just because you did the raid and got lucky with gear, doesn't mean you deserve the gear more than someone who works hard to grind their rep up... P.s. Your gear will become redundant when DLC hits. Grow up and stop whining that other people get to enjoy the game in the way they want

3 RepliesEdited by JustDawgyDawg: 10/28/2014 10:26:37 AMDude I've completed about 5 raids in the time it took to hit Iron Banner rank 3. Even if you won every match and did every bounty it is still way more time consuming than several raids are. Stop your crying. You clearly don't know wtf you are talking about.
-
1 ReplyI've completed the raid about 12 times. On both normal and hard...I've got 1 piece of raid gear out of it. I think it's great that I can actually work towards something tangible and not rely on broken RNG

1 ReplyEdited by SpeckledTech: 10/28/2014 11:50:44 AMPersonally, I think it's a step in the right direction, although it's yet another attempt to drag PvE players into PvP. I'll only be content with the levelling system when a purely PvE route to level 30 is introduced. Bungie need to recognise that RL factors make raiding a genuine impossibility for many players - ALL of whom, btw, paid the same amount for the game as those who CAN raid. Alternatively, give me MM for the Raid and I'll give it a bash. As for your 'where I am' statement - oh dear, oh dear - you need to get over yourself.
-
There still going to need 2 prices of raid gear or 1 exotic and 1 raid hear because the iron banner will only give you 2 prices of gear that have 30 light.
-
Yea well for the past 4 weeks All I've gotten out of the raid were a pair of boots twice. On more than one occasion I had the highest kill count. I was also pulling almost 15k in damage consistently against Atheon. While my friends are getting piece after piece of the gear and guns like The Last Word, all I get are shards, energy, and chatterwhite. So to be fair this whole randomized gear thing has just been screwing me over and I'd like the opportunity to at least earn some gear with my own merit. Besides not everybody has time to build multiple characters of the same class to farm the raid like most people do.
-
While I understand ur plea... Understand that everyone who is everyone will hit 30 at some point... the progress in which you do sooo shouldn't matter and iron banner gives guardians better cosmetic looks anyway, not the same raid gear all over the universe lol gotta be positive man
-
Just because you got raid gear doesn't mean I have it
-
We're going to have to get to Iron Banner rank 5 before we can buy the lvl 30 gear. Granted, I don't know this for a fact but I can't think of any reason they'd up the rank tiers. I don't know about you but I simply don't have time to grind out 3.5 more Iron Banner levels in the week the event wil be active so I'm confident the Iron Banner gear will still be much rarer than the raid gear.
-
1 ReplyEdited by dee: 10/28/2014 10:35:37 AMNo, people still have to play the raid to get to level 30. There will only be two level 30 armor pieces in Iron Banner.
-
I like it. Now we can have some variety in gear while not sacrificing our level.
-
Looking for hard raid level 30
-
You can not get 30 light gear for all slots, you still need to do Raid.
-
12 RepliesLol rly? This post is a joke srsly. Do you even know how long it took to get to rank 3? U have no idea.
-
Pve sux there should always be pvp and pve gear
-
4 RepliesWow. People literally cannot be happy can they. I love that we are getting some variety in gear we can wear for level 30. The raid is not that hard, you can get everything bar a helmet in the normal raid anyway and just use a exotic helmet plus iron banner won't have a full set available for each class, it'll be like last time with only one or two pieces. It takes a long time to get iron banner rank 3, how is it going to affect you other than the fact that rando's will be better levelled now in public strikes you enter?
-
Great! You got lucky enough to get to level 30. Some of us were not that lucky and got a lot of white chatter, ships, ascendent materials, some weapons and no armor. If you are good as you think you are, why are you afraid that people will earn their gear in other ways? You still will be a better player, no?
-
1 ReplyCheese with whine sir?
-
2 RepliesIn the iron banner you actually earn it. But leveling up and wining. Raid is RNG. You could get it with one run
