Problem is the half intelligent ones sit out side the strike zone killing low lvl adds. So It looks like they where doing something for anyone checking them out.

I think if they are inactive or haven't killed something in 5 minutes they should be kicked from game.

I agree with you on the inscribed or uninterested being annoying, but you need to be sure that's what's actually going on. Just a few days ago I was playing on vanguard roc with a friend of mine. I played through the entire strike until the end boss, where half way through I hid and went inactive. Once it was over I received a string of harassing messages from the 3rd rando player about how useless I was and that I should go kill myself. From an outside perspective, and with that information, sure you could get upset. However, I was in chat the entire time with my friend, and stated several times that my 1 year old was crying (it was about 11pm), and I needed to go check on him. He replied and understood with no issues. I came back just as the final blow was being dealt, and was then informed I was being reported and like I said, getting a litany of harassing messages. I explained the situation, told him I stated it in chat, and pointed out I had beat his score across the board. Point is, I was pretty peeved at some snotty Internet cowboy jumping the gun. I blocked him and moved on, but yes. Life DOES happen. just be careful who you're reporting, sometimes they need the benefit of the doubt. It's not like reporting has meant anything in a decade anyway. Side note: His report was returned with two from myself and my friend. Just saying be careful.

Nothing is more annoying than joining a strike, take of jamming on your bike and it shows the 2 other players depart

Place a vote kick feature, and if a players gets kicked out three times they get put on probation. Example of the "probation" is Halo 3, where you would not be allowed to rejoin matchmaking for a set amount of time, but in this case, strikes. No one needs to get banned but rather put in time out. c: Three flaws with this are: -1-Afk player has a friend and will vote the opposite -2-The other player wont care enough to even vote -3-The other player will be totally oblivious to the vote kick indication (i've seen this happen on other mmo's i've played, seriously annoying) If you run into these situation, your options are to either troll, leave, or msg the other player(3).

Kicked out after 2 minutes or so yea, but not banned. It doesnt take long to go to orbit and join another strike so anyone that needs more time than that can wait an extra 45 seconds.

I had the most satisfying moment today. I get the Vex strike with two level 30's. Qucik side note, I have noticed that lvl 30's are just the worst to do strikes with, they're either going full retard or AFK'ing. Anyhow, so it's obvious that these two are in a party but one of them isnt heading toward the restricted area. Now, one of the dailies today was not to die in a strike which proves my point that the vast majority of 30's are complete garbage because anyone should be able to pull that off, under any circumstances. This guy obviously thought his buddy and the third guy, in this case me, would run the strike while he safely sat back. WRONG! :) I shot him and sat down. He moved around a little when he noticed it and I got up. Not that I need the third player but this shit happens in 50 % of all strikes and it's starting to annoy me. When I see that he's sill not moving toward the restircted area -but obviously being there- I sit down again, as a manifestation that I'm here but not moving until he does. This went on for quite some time (I was already bored and didnt have anything to do) and I guess his butt buddy got fed up and tried to clear the area on his own. His pal dies, we're all consumed by the darkness and they both drop. Mission completed! Another good one took place yesterday when a AFK'er sent me a question regarding my nameplate after the strike. I'm using the mythic emblem/nameplate so I told him I got it from Bungie, which isnt a lie, but added "so you probably shouldnt AFK with one of us in the game". I know, I know, I somewhat insinuated that I had some form of authority but I never said it straight out. And, man, this guy actually seemed nervous afterwards. He first sent me two messages explaining why he had been AFK'ing and then another asking if I was still there, as if he had more to say. I ignored all of it, just like I originally did when he AFK'ed.

People who join a strike and then just sit at the door are the worst, it should be similar to crucible, get kicked after 5 minutes of inactivity unless you're in a fire team of friends

I dunno about only having 2 options in your poll there bud, but while I have never had the luck to have an inactive player in any strike I've been in, I have seen enough info here on the forums to know that its a problem for many. I like some of the ideas that in some ways decrease a sort of invisible rep, and then having those idler's grouped would prove to be quite funny. I for one don't get it. Sitting around with your game on, doing nothing sounds just.... really dumb to me... and boring

Edit 2: Soren brought up a great idea about only being eligible for rewards after getting kills in darkness zones. Great idea! Won't work. Simply go into a darkness zone, kill something. Afk.
