This community is full of kids. Do you know how long it takes to get the item you want in wow or guild wars? Hundreds of hours. This shit community complains that they can't get a vex within 20 hours. Please stop these kids bungie before they ruin this game even more. Oh and put some items in which would take months to get. :)

46 RepliesWOW was casual as you can get. Now Everquest on the other hand....... Getting to level 60 took months. Getting gear involved camping spawn points for days, oh and while you are waiting other people are trying to kill you for the spot. Your raid could get attacked and killed mid- fight from another raid. Your spawn ganked and your corpse camped. If you did not get back to your body in a week, it disappeared along with all of your gear. Your class epic quest would take weeks and you would need a raid to help you (think finding a group for Xyor is hard?). You never got any items from grouping until you were 55+ and you never earned enough money to buy items until you were around the same level. People would aggro mobs from all around the zone and run them past you to kill you. When you died you lost experience and could lose levels; at level 60 a death would cost you a couple of hours of grinding to get back. I could go on...

Lol wow gw and destiny are so casual friendly you have no idea. Get back to us when you have played EQ1.

4 RepliesPlayed RF Online, FFO, WoW, GW, WAR, GW2, DDO, LOTRO, SWTOR. I know about RNG. I also know about weekly missions/quests. Putting them both together is plain stupid. Making it only possible to reach Lvl 30 by acquiring raid gear through RNG which can also only be done once per week is probably the dumbest thing I have ever encountered in over 20 years if gaming. A lot of those games you can partake in the raids as much as you like per week in attempts to get raid gear which is RNG. Completion of such raids awarded you crests, emblems, tokens, etc, so that even if you got no gear EVENTUALLY you would have enough currency to buy a piece if raid gear though it could still take a matter if weeks. On top of that there were also weekly bonuses which would grant you more tokens/crests/emblems for a single event (raid for example) which you could then put towards purchasing a piece if kit. Even with that it still took weeks, but you were still rewarded. This game's current system is an abomination. I do find it amusing that because you played WoW you think you are some connoisseur of gaming and loot systems. Your overall opinion and experience is a joke.

Or you can just go to an online market and buy them off. that's what gonna happen when trading is implemented.

Has anybody here played T4C(The Fourth Coming)?

1 ReplyBarring the hundreds of hours of original content these games have over Destiny...
-
I've said it tons of times. If this were launched on PC, less would have changed.

Edited by cusman: 10/28/2014 7:38:28 PMYou really think the pathetic pew-pew shooter that is the Vex Mythoclast (post-nerf and only way I have experienced it) should take 100s of hours for people to earn?

Edited by DUNNY1981: 10/28/2014 7:31:56 PMYeah i know what ya mean. In one video that was posted on here. it explains that this game got cut and reshaped to fit younger kids as well as stripped to run on the xbox360 and ps3. But back to the point. People whinning is always gonna happen and instead of playing the game they just moan moan moan. Its simple as quite a few people have said this (GO SELL THE GAME) nothing worth getting is easy acheived thats my opinion anyway

This " For The Crusade"

The amount of content in wow/gw far exceeds destiny. Pre-expansion wow or gw. If you talk post expansion its not even fair.
-
It's not about us getting gear, it's about lack of content
-
5 RepliesThe problem is lack of content, had they more to do other than JUST RAID for gear. They would have no issues with not getting gear every run. Also a lot complaining only run normal and then get a cp to push Atheon...
-
Add deadkush420 to psn for VoG normal. Need 1 more.
-
2 RepliesDestiny is like demo version. Short and boring
-
15 RepliesBungie DID put in exotics that take weeks to get... the exotic bounties! I've been working on this Bad Juju bounty for about 3 weeks now. I keep running into the dreaded 'Crucible sucks and I don't feel like playing it today' boss and I'm not able to get past him yet. I figure after a few more weeks of grinding mindless, repetitive, no-new-content PvE that I will have built up my boredom stat to a high enough level to try some crucible again...

That's one way to put it. The problem is that Destiny doesn't label itself as an MMO or whatever. The game itself is afraid of being in a category. Why? Because it knows it cannot meet your expectations. Plus the game needs much more content to compete with those games you compare it to. I played and enjoyed SWTOR for months and I was still no where near the end of the main story line. Destiny's story on the other hand is atrocious. Please, don't compare Destiny to games with rich story line.

ahhh i miss the days of grinding on Wow...

2 RepliesThis is a console game. That is the major difference. Consoles typically cater to the younger crowds as game shelf-life is much shorter. Serious MMOs like those you mention are often played by other folk (including older people) who grew up with games of this type in a more PC-centered world who don't typically require instant gratification, unlike their console brethren. The problem here is Destiny is trying to break out of the rather short life most console games have and are trying to extend its shelf life (10 year game plan) by introducing MMO elements, but they just aren't doing a very good job at it. They lack the experience of a true MMO developer and it shows. You can't blame the crowd. You have to blame Bungie for trying to cater to the wrong crowd, regardless of how good the game COULD be if it were implemented correctly.

2 RepliesOn the eq topic, think NO WAYPOINTS. No direction as to what you needed to do next :). You had to read and research for what you wanted. Agh the good ol days of eq.
-
1 ReplyIt's called not an MMO so the WOW factors don't apply here. If you're annoyed then go back to WOW. I'm not complaining about wanting everything asap just annoyed people who point of the original "complainers" are also setting unrealistic comparisons to the game.
-
10 Replies8 year wow vet - 3.1k arena rating, 21 90's. It's called 'No child left behind' Due to most of the console scum playing single player that you can get and complete and obtain the greatest things with little to no effort like in the elder scrolls series. Or you can just do what I did and push Atheon off and have some funz
-
I quit after cata. But I do miss my enhancement shammy.
-
10 90's. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) WoW*
