Why don't we see the Gravemind in Halo 3?
I though we should have foughten him as a boss like in halo 2, where you fought Tarteris!

man i thought we were going to fight gravemind after killing prophet that would have been the prefect time to put a boss fight with gravemind

Bungie decided after Halo 2 that anyone who sees Gravemind goes mad, so they didn't show him to preserve your sanity. /lie.

See parts of him isn't seeiung him, take for example Clover field commmercail, you see a little part of it but you have no clue what it looks like. until you see the whole thing.

Probably, because the boss fights in Halo 2 were both lame and easy. In fact most FPS games have lame boss fights. If you can't do them right then don't do them at all. They made a bonafide right choice in cutting one feature for another. [Edited on 03.19.2008 10:36 AM PDT]

Its supposed to be a theatric thing Gravemind as a mysterious being was somewhat ruined in Halo 2 by showing it AND not really explaining what it was. However, I"m guessing that Bungie wanted the Gravemind to be more like a looming menace and a terrifying mystery.
