Are Gamer Couples TOO nerdy? (And a raid question)
I had a bad night last night and to top things off, I did the raid on hard twice and only got the ship, twice. So this morning, my hubby woke me up with a present. (See the image) I loved it! Then I got to thinking... Are we TOO nerdy? Is there such thing?
Also, I have a question about raid check points. If I have a Atheon check point today, will it reset to the beginning on Tuesday?

If they are, they're probably having too much fun to care if someone esteems them so. I'm a gamer, but my wife isn't. She somehow, through some nebulous, mercurial twist of reality, decided to play Fable III. So when I came home from work ready to get some gaming in, who do I find in my spot, with my controller, on my console? "Honey, can you bring me my nachos? And some soda." She was dug in like a tick. She never played anything else, though. But now I have a son who's taking over.

And now the children are frightened anyway. UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM no. A gamer couple cannot possibly be too nerdy, I mean there ARE lines to cross and under certain circumstances a couple CAN be too nerdy but I don't think with gaming. Not with Destiny. If one is a gamer, both should be gamers, otherwise you're in for one annoying, doomed relationship with plenty of bitching.

Two officers in my eq guild got married, back in 99. Before geek was chic!!! Lol. But honestly, I wish I had more nerd types in my life, I work a blue collar job, with a lot of other alpha type personalities. Monday is all talk of the weekend football games, I am a soccer fan. No one at work even knows what destiny is ... So if you have "nerd" types in your life, you are lucky. No such thing as too nerdy.

When we first met, my husband and I bonded over video games. I let him borrow ff10 and gta3 for the ps2. We've been playing video games together nearly everyday for the past 13 years. Also bonding over our love for Harry Potter and other things that people might consider "nerdy" but the truth is it's not. Everyone has some sort of pop culture thing they bond with their mate over. While I don't consider myself nerdy, nearly everyone I know does. Some of my non gaming "friends" (if you can call them that, lol jk) are pretty jelly over the fact that I obsess over things like video games.... Reading about them, listening to podcasts about them, playing them, video game themed beenies when i knit, yeah they wished they had my life. (As I look down just now i realized i'm wearing my Umbrella Corp hoodie, and the Destiny bracelet I got when i picked up my game) I think my point is DON'T EVER BE ASHAMED OF BEING A NERD/GEEK/ETC... though, you're not really, by definition. This is a whole lot of blathering with no real end.
