Are Gamer Couples TOO nerdy? (And a raid question)
I had a bad night last night and to top things off, I did the raid on hard twice and only got the ship, twice. So this morning, my hubby woke me up with a present. (See the image) I loved it! Then I got to thinking... Are we TOO nerdy? Is there such thing?
Also, I have a question about raid check points. If I have a Atheon check point today, will it reset to the beginning on Tuesday?

There's no such thing as being too nerdy, if you two are happy doing stuff like that then keep on rollin' cause you two are in a better situation relationship-wise than most. Also, it will get reset on Tuesday, yes.

My wife likes to play the wii with me a lot so she is a casual gamer we also play minecraft together but she lets me have my own game time but we do play a lot together...I think it's awesome cause you have more interests together but can still have your own time

Im lucky enough to have a mrs after 13 years that is into gaming as much as i am. Also i have had many great games over the years where i have gotten to know some great couples. As far as im concerned the gaming world could do with more of them. Happy gaming.

No, you 2 are not too nerdy... I play with my Girlfriend all the Time... we got 2 TV´s and 2 PS3/4´s Checkpoint resets every week on Tuesday.

thats so freaking legen....wait for it dary !! Loot at the brighter side, my ex girlfriend for 5 years everytime i went to my hometown for a weekend marathoon of gaming would call for 10 times each time and cry and make me feel guily for playing games. What u have is awsome and most importantly real love

The only thing that matters is that you two are happy. The label used to define you is irrelevant to that.

That's awesome. I love it. There is no such thing as too nerdy so long as you enjoy it yourself. It matters not what others think, as it has no effect on them. As for the raid bit, yes. Any progress will be reset fully at 2am pacific on each Tuesday. It will reset all checkpoints and chests allowing you to get rewards from them again, but also resets your progress so you have to do it starting at the sync plates outside the door. However, anything you do from Tuesday at 2am until the next reset the following Tuesday will be saved, meaning any chest you have opened on said character will still be considered looted and each checkpoint will be saved and the rewards given only the once, even if you restart it. You can restart and go through from the beginning, however you will not get anything from any of the chests or checkpoints that you have already completed.

Yes, if you currently have the Atheon checkpoint, it will reset to the start of the raid on Tuesday. And no, you two aren't nerdy. It's sort of nice IMO.

2 RepliesMy girlfriend sorta asked the same thing, and I told her we are the perfect kind of nerdy :) The only problem is we have one computer and one Xbox one, so when she's playing destiny, I'm playing cs:go, and when I'm playing destiny she's playing the sims 4, but we can't play destiny together :(

What is nerdy anyways? Just knowing a lot about videogames or comic books? And if knowing a lot about something makes you a nerd then isn't everyone a nerd in some sort of way?

Not too nerdy. It's a mutual connection. I wish my wife and I shared it. She plays the Just Dance series. And now she wants me to buy her the Evil Within game. But I'm not a scary movie/game type of guy. She did play Guitar Hero and Rockband with me back in the day. One of the most memorable times we shared was when she used to read the Zelda stratedgy guide to me when I played the Wii version. She really got into that.
