So it's safe to assume almost everyone is using suros or a auto rifle.
I refuse to be one of the players that's trying to get easy kills with an overpowered gun. Sad part is if you look of the stats of the people who defend exotic auto rifles they are the ones using them. On top of that there's a reason they make up the majority of PvP.
Don't worry your precious AR won't get nerfed because everyone would get upset and even they won't admit it would probably stop playing PvP. Now there are a few people who don't resort to using an exotic AR and I say keep fighting the good fight.
Shoutouts to xur for giving everyone a suros and now there is no need to use any other gun because when leveled up it kills almost instantly with the least skill involved to do so. Destiny was already a AR fest but now with the release is suros that's all you see now.
Go ahead tell me other weapons are more powerful or that AR's aren't OP while you choose to use a AR. Then make other lame excuses but the real fact of the matter is most players gravitate towards the strongest weapon or easiest way to win.
By the way you do know we can see everyones stats right so if your saying you don't use an AR for the most part youll be exposed frauds.
Better yet Bungie should just patch out the rest of the primary guns in the next update because according to almost everyone's stats on here the majority of you get more kills with the AR then any other primary weapon.
You guys can't argue that shit end of thread.

Exotics =/= Powerful. Scout Rifles out damage ARs with precision, same with Pulse Rifles. Suros has a low recoil and because of the low RoF, easy to manage, that's why they use it. I'll continue using it because it's useful. If I wanted to kill enemies quickly I'd switch to the Epilogue or a Scout Rifle. Problem? I counter SUROS by playing long range. Wrecking kids with my vanilla 0 upgrade Super Plox VLO. Quit crying because you suck. You're embarrassing yourself. When I lose to a SUROS I say "ah -blam!- I missed". Or I was out of place or unprepared to fight 2 people. Literally all other classes of gun can outtrade the autos if you land your shots. Autos are just easy as hell to use, so bads can still compete against other bads who are slightly better. Put a skilled player in a match with a green pulse/scout/hand cannon and he will beat some baddie with a SUROS 9/10 times. Spend more time improving and less crying on forums. Btw my SUROS I bought on Friday is currently in the vault collecting space dust.

3 RepliesAbout a week into destiny I checked online for a list of the exotics primaries in the game. Being an avid auto rifle player, I immediately gravitated towards the suros regime. I wanted that gun more than any other gun in the game, especially to use it in the crucible. Well after a couple of weeks Xur sold it and I was ecstatic. I was going to have my "signature weapon" to wreck some more havoc in the crucible. Shortly after getting into a match, I noticed that 2 other people had the gun as well. I figured it was a fluke until after playing through the day I saw more people with the suros than any other gun. Eventually I realized that it was one of the top guns in the game, and since everyone had it I would be seeing a lot of it. So being the hipster that I am, I switched to revolvers to try to find a play style to counter the auto rifles. I now have 3 or 4 suros regimes sitting in my vault and I won't touch them. Auto rifles are the most popular guns in the game for a reason, they are the most accessible and effective from most ranges. But right now I am trying to use hand Cannons to an even more effective degree, I recommend players who want to have more fun in this game try out different types of weapons and try to find out if they can be effective whole doing so. I know I am enjoying the game more.

You've got a wrong imagination, dude. There wil ALWAYS be one weapon in any PvP that proves a tad more effective than the other ones. That never goes away, and I'm pretty sure Bungie know. However, it's a good goal to make the other weapons VIABLE. That means by skill, you can perform well with your favorite weapon. And I think Bungie are on a rather good way towards that goal.

I enjoy suros for pve but I use timur's lash in pvp with its explosive rounds. 2-3 shot kill.

Meh suros is whatever i could have traded coins to get it but i got the vision of confluence scout rifle. I previously used red death, but now i can use an exotic secondary or heavy.

1 ReplyWhile I do agree that ARs can be OP, I did just find that a fully upgraded Thorn is about as good in PvP if you know to take advantage of the damage over time. (Thorn still sucks in PvE though) Also, I do feel that shotguns are more unbalanced, I've been killed from a distance that should not be possible with them.

While playing skirmish I found a lot of teams using fatebringer, thorn, lord high fixer a lot. Did they buff the hand cannons? It seems like it.

I use Shadow Price on my Titan My Hunter has Suros but has never fired a bullet with it

One of my characters use auto rifles, also happen to be leveling Suros. Normally I use my shadow price as it is better than the Suros, strangely. Warlock uses hand cannons almost exclusively, and hunter uses scout rifles almost exclusively. Guess everyone wants to rule the world...
