Error Code : Toad
Apparently I need to post on here to get some help..
I literally didn't do a god damn thing today and went to log on, right after it said "Signing In", it popped to the screen "Error Code : Toad".... So I exited Destiny and tried it again... Same thing. This happened about 5-6 times. All my friends are online, playing, and I'm sitting here trying to figure put what the -blam!- is going on. I really want to know what I need to do to be able to play the game.... This is bothering the hell outta me. :/ Please help.

‼️‼️LISTEN UP‼️‼️ Error code toad is only and i repeat ONLY deals with your internet connection that’s it so don’t re install or delete it just get a good router or internet provider that’s all you guys making it a huge deal when it’s so simple

49 RepliesThank you for reporting this issue. i will pass the information on to the team. The error is caused by a corrupted file in the game. At the moment the best first step is to delete and re-install the game.

So I had the toad problem....I turned power off then went in game and still toad....then switched games to naruto and went back and it just worked ....

I got same code. Exit destiny on the home page and cold start your system by holding down the Xbox button on the console. Wait 30 seconds the. Restart. That worked for me

Ps4 users can disconnect internet and reconnect and run connection test than start it up worked for me.

2 RepliesGot the toad error as well. Cant sign in. Played fine yesterday after psn got back up. So does this mean i have to reinstall? What about dlc content and other downloads? Do i have to download them again?

I find this whenever I log onto destiny, some stupid error code kicks everyone, I can't log in, or the game will just keep loading. I can't stand it

I just renewed my licenses through the PSN menu and it worked for me. Give it a try.

Don't uninstall and reinstall it doesn't work just unplug your console for 30 seconds then try the game again it worked for me

Held power button on xbone till off waited a couple mins then booted and tried again and I'm in

1 Replyi found the problem, what hapaned is the sign in feature to get in game has been cut and is now dlc, just insert your credit card information, pay 20 bucks and you can get back to happily playing :)

I've tried a hard restart, clearing the saved data and pretty much everything else to my Xbox. Thanks for all the suggestions but it looks more like a bungie prob to me

1 ReplyTo hard reset either go to start up and power menu or hold down button on box for 5 sec. Should work

Thank god. After 20 dang minutes of resetting my Xbox and retrying to log on to the Destiny servers.

!!!!!!!!!!!! I found a fix for xbox360!!!!!!!!! , Go to system settings> storage> hover over storage device and hold Y, delete cache then reopen Destiny, update with successfully launch download. Then enjoy!

1 ReplyI just turned it off using the controller, waited 10 seconds, and turned it back on and now no error code. I'm pretty sure that's how the ps4 cache is cleared.
