Of course people will leave...it happens, they're the same people that leave every game release a few weeks in. Some people just can't wait for content. I left Wow early this year because I cbf waiting a year for another raid, left GW2 and many other mmos 2 months in because it just got repetative and unoriginal to me. Fact is this game lacks content...however I'm still heavily drawn to it because of the solid mechanical foundations set in place, Destiny has so much potential to be the new benchmark to compare future genres with, I don't know when that will be, but it will be. Sure, it might be a slow process and if I get bored, so be it, but I won't rule out putting down the game for long. If a better game comes along and takes me away from destiny, I would think I'd be too immersed into it to bother complaining about destiny. But recently I've tried to get into other games like archage etc to find my place, but still can't manage to dedicate myself to any other game than this game. I'll be honest with myself, even if Destiny flops on next DLC, I'll still most likely buy the next expansions regardless of reviews.

I don't see it going 10 years at this pace

  • That probably answers my reasoning to why I'll still be buying into it..the fact that those 10 years are a mandatory agreement with Activision, they have they're money, the game will span at least the duration of their contract regardless of how many people will play it. It's not about the money or funding anymore for Bungie, it's about how bad Bungie want to keep their reputation...and Imo, that's what drives great development...not this crowd funded Indy pay to win shit.
