I was able to switch characters right after we beat the templar without teleporting to get the chest. It still spawned. I'm thinking it will only despawn once people actually see the chest maybe? or hit a checkpoint by going down the hole? Just to clarify, I switched to titan to help beat the templar and then changed back to my hunter right after to continue with the run (the team waited for me in the templar room). When we got to the chest, it was still there.

No, I think a timer starts from the point there is a change in the team. Numerous times people have either gone too far or got booted or whatever. And everyone who was at the cheat could see the chest while we waited for others to arrive only to have it des pawn. The timer is a good 5 - 10 mins.

He speaks the truth, my team stopped the templar from teleporting, no one left, died, we tool our time getting there seeing how far down we can go without getting back up, turns out it's as u go to the chest, we took at least 10 minutes getting there, it was still there.
